Mugs like this give us a bad name

As a fisherman and trawler operator, these types of vessels and their greed really piss me off (excuse the French, ladies).

The average net size of the Margiris (now signed the Abel Tasman), dominates the sea the length of the Sydney Opera House and the Titanic laying twice her length beside the Opera House.

That's just extreme and isn't fishing, nor any fair dinkum aspect of a reasonable catch mariner. The (real) Australian Government was going to put the brakes on this, but only went half what is needed and didn't even scratch the surface of Greenpeace's list of concerns (mind you, we'd all be vegans if they had their way). Still..

It's a crime what sets out on our waters. I take my hat off to the groups and others in the industry trying to put an end to them. It makes us all look bad.
