Rather than just sit here spamming orders for a month, I thought I'd actually do a news article with any news and information relative to defence and combat.

Situation on France and USA

The French and American training wars are almost finally at a close. As you may have of noticed, the first French peace proposal wasn't accepted 7 days ago. From my understanding this is because congress for some reason felt like they needed to agree on it, despite the initial training war not needing congresses approval, as well as the impression that they would be closed at the end of the resource war regardless.

The new proposal has been accepted, and AFTER the current RW, a new RW should be started to reclaim the remaining UK region from France.

USA has been removed as our NE so a peace proposal can now start, however, I am unsure as to why this is taking as long as it is although Woldy has been informed to put up the proposal as soon as possible.


MoD Banners containing ESO

After frix cried to told congress about "ESO" being used in government banners, they have now been removed and has instead been placed with a cool ass llama.


Proposal: TP Medal Rebates

I have been discussing this idea with congress and talking about it with other members of the government. Recently, eRepublik introduced a change where TP medals (and a few others) are now taxed under the country's work tax. I personally feel this is stupid, as why should fighters be taxed for fighting for their country? After all, a country's fighters are the reason that a country is on the map and by extension, allows the country to collect taxes and make money.

While it would be ideal to disable it or be able to easily rebate this tax for all players, it isn't really possible. So instead, the proposal is that every week, the top 10 players in kills and/or damage for every division, will receive the tax back that they paid on TP medals for that week. While this will disproportionately affect players who fight more, please remember that it is a rebate and that players who fight should be rewarded more for helping their country.

After discussion, the proposal will be put on hold for now, to see what happens with the new air-battles that are expected to be soon implemented. However, at the start of the next week, data will be collected with this proposal being put forward to be put in place by the end of the 3rd week (if it passes), so that players can start getting rebates by the 3rd week.

Legion renamed to Jon Snow's Legion

The military unit previously know as Legion has been renamed to put a bit of a Game of Throne's theme on it, and is now know as Jon Snow's Legion.
