Let's talk about TUP

More than a month ago I was accepted on the shores of eUK by the UK Border Agency. After I paid my £5 (gold) deposit and assured everyone I'm here to give my services to the queen I have been allowed back to the island..where I actually started my e-life!

After few days spent in the PUB I decided to join TUP 🙂 - Reason? My first party ever in this game, I wanted to see how are they going!

I realised is ambitious to hope that I will see familiar faces and names around here, on one hand because it's been long time from when I was a e-baby and 2nd because I can't remember 90% of the people back then (despite. Kraven, Iain, Talon, Invalidation (dead) and Niemand) but it was fun too meet another familiar face...Tasos 🙂

and now few thoughts about the party...

When I arrived you were in the middle of PTO (as far as I understood) the guy who chose to so call PTO you guys won and everyone was outraged! After that for few days I saw the same guy actually trying to do some stuff (I don't know if it was just on the face of it or not..but from my point of view he didn't seem like a PTOer..or not the kind you hate!)

The CP elections came on the 5th - by that time Tasos already became the PP (the previous one resigned and tasos has the highest lvl in the party - on this note..GUYS I was surprised at how many of you know don't know basic game mechanics, I saw at least 3/4 requests to Tasos on the feed to pass the PP position to Madeline! The good part about this was that once tasos pointed out that this is the most inactive part that he was member of..few people got active (at least on feed); I don't know if it was hurt ego or not..but it was for the good!.

After this events I was included in the so called TUP Coucil - I saw few comments last week in Uk press that this is an exclusive council where just selected people are aloud! - What a lot of bu**sh*t! I expressed my desire on the feed to participate and I was included...ANY MEMBER that reads the feed could have been included! The so called council it's a bunch of nice people who exchanged ideas about how the party should be run and reinvigorated in the following months. even the PP primaries were planned on here!

Now..primaries!

Personally I hate primaries (having meeting and elections to decide who runs in next elections to be chosen leader of the next meetings for the next elections...etc), I always did regardless the party that I have been member of! BUT I see their point, especially when you are a party under constant threat of PTO like TUP was in the last few months! But then..in order to vote in the primaries..you need to go on an external forum...

Now..This game is a browser game..and maybe forums are nice..and people tried over the history of the eworld to use different tool to improve communication..(chats,blogs,websites..forums!) but..in a world with a population in continuous decline...and in a game that some people play because it's simple! Forums are useless! and I believe this is the case at the moment for TUP - 12 People voted in the primaries on the forum! but yesterday at the elections I think there were over 50 votes! (correct me if I am wrong) - Guys you need to find a new tool to do primaries! or scrap them all together 🙂

And my last point..for a party that is 1st in the country and has 110+ members...50 votes at the PP elections is unacceptable. If you want to be a party that doesn't tremble at the mention of the "PTO" ..you need at least 70% voting presence at the internal votes!

to end on a positive side - The debates that were made on the "TUP Council" message are very productive and positive! (and you are a nice party!) I hope the new PP brings some life into the party! I encourage existing members to speak up - if I was listened to, you will be listed to as well!

On another note - please open some wars..I need more TP damage! (like 4.2 billions..so please open a continuous war for the next 2 years!)

PS: Why did I wrote this article? I supposed I just missed writing! 🙂
