It's just about Home Time!
Natster
[ LVL ] | [ Work# ] | [ Wages ] | [ HRM Req ] | [ Tot ]
-> 1 5 $30 1000 $250
-> 2 10 $30 2000 $500
-> 3 20 $30 4000 $1000
To figure out the total I took Work Tickets * Wage Than I added HRM Req * HRM Market Value to figure out the cost of building one home.
Now the wages are very conservative, and a few players will be paying more to have players work the homes for them.
Now the value of the home breakdown...
Value Breakdown
[ LVL ] | [ Ener] | [Q1 $ ] | [ HOURS ] | [ 1 HOUR VAL] | [TOTAL]
-> 1 50 $0.07 | -> 168 $3.50 $588 -> 2 50 $0.07 | -> 360 $3.50 $1260 -> 3 100 $0.07 | -> 168 $3.50 $1176
The trick with homes is to use them when you have a full energy bar. Doing this will ensure that you get a bonus of 50 energy that you can use for working. Now, given that current food prices are approximately 0.07 the savings can be realized really quickly. If you are to buy a home and you want an ROI, than try to keep your purchase price below the value of the market price of food.
With this calculation breakdown, I was surprised that q3 homes provide less value than q2. So, players take note. Best value is in q2 homes unless I'm missing something. Also business owners will find that q2's will give them the best ROI for selling.
Sort of wierd, but this seems to be the case. Please vote and share.
Strength and honour. May the profits go with you.

Houses aren't worth it at all.
Even if you have a sucky +10 recovery rate then its more cost efficient to wait 30 mins to an hour rather then waste 0.5 to 5G on a house. Even then you must ask yourself how often you sit at your computer thinking "gee if only I had the extra health to do another 2 or 3 kills right now".
TL😉R - Don't make 'em and don;t buy 'em
If you have a full bar, and you use it to get the 50 bonus energy, it'll be 50 energy you won't have to "replenish". than you turn it off. This gives you uses. You will get a value of 25 q1 food from that simple trick
it's not extra energy. It is extra bank space. You still have to pay for the energy, you can just have more at one time. (I think)

no required workers is 100/32 + 1000/ 400 =
3.12 +2.5 = 5.62
of course one does not get 0.12 or 0.5 people so its depending on the situation between 6 and 7 workers required each time if my maths is correct.
one house tooks 4 players
30 wage is also very conservative. you wont get 5 workers at 30 wages or keep them.
also you compete against communes and players with bigger bonuses so use them for your worth and try and sell the rest at cost.
i am already back at more profitable stuff.
wam clicks would be necessary to level the playing fields or workers wage should be adjusted to counter this in fact adding their bonus to their wages.
i am sorry thought out from the perspective of a big country not small countries. capitan jackson is right though it increases your bank.. your initial bank will be bigger which means each time you logout and you return you will get the extra 50 or 100 energy but 50 and 100 is just the start level 4 and 5 is already shown it will gather you 150 energy extra. which you could do for yourself in a week.

If it works exactly like an energy center, increasing your bank when you have full energy gives you 50 free energy. If you are depleted from full, them only your bank increases.
I didn't know it works that way. Have you tried it with new houses?
If you are right, you could turn it on, use free energy, turn it off then on, and get free energy every hour.
That is how energy centers worked. However, you had to have your energy full. Stay tuned as I have my workers build me my house.
Yep I was wrong.... Homes are a waste of money
