It's a hard life fishing

Day 2,252, 10:34 Published in Australia Argentina by Nathan Aus

G'day Aussies. Sunrise isn't far away. I packed the ute for an early morning line drop. The curried eggs have been bottled and the coffee's on the boil for the thermos. I like the little chit chats and wanted to check in. Been clicking the past week busy with work and haven't had a lot to say.

Well truthfully that's going the raw prawn. I said I wasn't here for politics but at times it just doesn't feel like that's respected. Not that anyone has done anything wrong but it's like the pollie poo has visited itself upon us with the New Zealand business. I read James Rellori's articles and it takes a top bloke to keep other people in the loop because the politicians tell us squat. Don't get me wrong I kind of like it like that because anytime I see a politician in front of a camera or writing in the newspaper it's bullshit anyway.

I'm going to say some stuff and if it gets off and annoys some that's fair dinkum but James was good enough to ask people how they felt it's just that the survey lacked the right questions in my opinion. Here it goes.

Off the bat do I disapprove of Mickskitz or his government? I don't know the bloke to judge him and I don't want to know him. He's a politician and I pay my own way. As long as he doesn't up my ring why should I care what he does? That's fair isn't it.

A complaint I do have is airing bad blood in the press. Australia is at war with Chile and our bum is blue from the kicking we've been getting. Reading around some other lads and ladies have been feeling the pinch and morale hasn't been this low since the last time we lost the Ashes. I'm still green in the game and I get this happens in waves that go up and down.

Which brings me to whatever is going on with New Zealand. Like I was saying I'm new and my opinion counts for tiddlies but I have a voice and I'm going to use it. There isn't a medal for best diplomat. I didn't see one for best strategist either. Politics might be fun for most but war is the ultimate prize. We mess up that pot it doesn't seem to matter a hell of a lot what else we stick our hands into.

So I have a really simple request that would make me feel a lot better about signing in every day. Politicians do what you got to do and keep it to yourselves. Whoever is in charge of keeping up the wars of Australia's states keep it coming. I fund myself and will keep on fighting. I've picked up 8 battle medals already and built a lot of rockets not to mention the patriot wins. May not make Chile sweat but every time I break the blue bar they have to put more into it so no cheap wins for them.

Other than that g'day to all. A tingle to me pen mate Dr Hugh Jardon been a real help. Shouts to all the regulars I'll have a stubbie for you all back on the wharf tonight. Keep the faith Aussies wipe those tears and give Chile a nice big middle finger.

Be good all
Nathan
