Guide to Government Give-Away Form

Day 2,166, 03:38 Published in Belgium Belgium by Boklevski

I'm filling in the eBE Government Give-Away form, and it seems not everything is as simple as you think. So here's a short guide + quick URL-links to the relevant information. I'm not going to guide you through the very obvious questions, only through the questions that someone (young and old players) might have.

- Are you citizen or HC?
That one is easy. If you are an eBE citizen, just answer 'citizen'. (If you really don't know: check the currency below your amount of GOLD. Is it BEF? Good. You're a eBE citizen.)

In case you don't know if you have HC, you don't have it. It's something on the forum (which you should totally join here). Check your forum masks there.

- When did you become a eBE citizen?
If you never changed citizenship, you can fill in your eRep birthday, which you can find in your profile. Your profile can be accessed by clicking your avatar on the left. Oh, and copy that URL-link. You'll need it.

If you moved to eBelgium from abroad and don't know the date of acceptance: you can check it by clicking this link. It sorted from old to new, so you might want to start at the last page. DISCLAIMER: There might be some faster way in a third party website. Not sure, though; if you have suggestions, leave a comment.

- Profile link
As said above: click you avatar or name on the left side. You'll be taken to your profile: copy the link in your address bar.

- Newspaper Articles
This is where I decided to start the guide. "Since August" means since eRep day 2,081. You can find the day of publishing by going to your newspaper in your profile: the date of publishing is just below the header of an article. Simply count all published after day 2,081.

- Do you have a forum account
The answer is always yes. If it's no: create one now. Then answer yes.

- Link to forum-profile
When logged in, either search for a post you made and click your name (if you never posted, now would be a good time to do so in the Introduction Section), or go to the memberlist and click your name. (It's sorted on moment of logging in, so you should be somewhere in top-10... unless you never log off, in which case you should consider looking for professional help. Yes, NLSP, that includes you.)

- Military Unit
I guess you know the answer, but if you've forgotten: either go to your profile again, or click 'Community' > 'Military Unit'. If it gives you a choice to join one, you're not in a MU. (You really should consider joining one, though. Completely the Daily Order gives you free bazookas and Energy Bars!)

If you are in an eBelgian MU, click the name in the form or fill in 'other'. If you're not sure if your MU is eBelgian, check it here.

- Political Party
You can check your political party again in your profile. You'll need to meet certain requirements (level... 10?) to join a party. If you are not yet in a party, but meet the requirements, you can join any of them... UNLESS you're really awesome: then you might want to join ATO.

- Running for...
Have you forgotten if it was July or August when you ran? You can check your candidacies for Congress, Country President or Party President. Only August, September and October count. Not sure how they'll consider Congress elections in October, as we have no country. That's up to the MoF, I guess.

- Activities
What did you do in the government, congress, court, etc.? It's mostly forum based (except for being commander or 2nd commander in an eBE MU). These are all functions that you should remember so I can't give you any links here. If you don't remember, then you didn't waste enough time on it, and you don't deserve the credits.

- Last page...
This consider some personal questions. Can't answer them for you. You can tell NLSP that I'm more cool in the last textbox.

In fact, let's just all tell him that. He'll go nuts.

That's it! Go win that first prize!
