Greed, bug or both?

Day 3,900, 07:48 Published in Romania Romania by Nicolae Crefelean
DISCLAIMER: I have enough currency (almost 21k) to buy 10 gold each day, so please don't send me gold or money. By the time I wrote this article I already reached my daily gold buying limit, so I'm stuck. I don't feel like destroying the factories I worked so hard to build, so I'm not sure I'll pull through.
P(re).S. 😛 I sold a company to a colleague (thanks!), and I'll get it back in a few days, once I get enough gold back. So days 1-5: completed.

This is the second "League of Allies" event. The last time I was in the Simon Bolivar league and I have no idea how much energy I had to spend for 1 point. I remember I had to be quite active to be able to get that decoration, but I managed to do that and I got it.

This year, I got assigned in the Saladin league, which requires me to spend 400 energy for one point, and I have to get 24 points each day - which is 1 point each hour. Now considering I only have 240 energy recovery per hour, it's obviously impossible to reach nearly double the energy unless I have EBs - which I don't.

So who is this event meant for? Those who farm medals, buy packs or gather hundreds of EBs for special events, which come extremely rare lately? How is the rest supposed to have fun by being very active during the competition without spending money on gold or packs?

Reaching the end of the competition should be possible as long as you're active enough - which should be very close to your maximum daily recovery. It has to be hard, but not impossible. Being in top 100 already brings extra rewards, so those who actually spend money or farm like pros get the extra incentive to push harder. So what about the regular citizens? With events being so rare, why is it practically impossible to finish an event without spending money?

What was it that gave birth to such an allocation in the leagues? Greed? Bug? Both?

Terrible. 👎
