As you may be aware Rylde has pushed the dictatorship button. People are supporting him because they think it will be entertaining.
Sure, it will be entertaining for about the next 24 hours. After that we will go back to the boring death march that is dictatorship. This is a single campaign of entertainment. Not a war.
We all lived through the last dictatorship. Our political parties meant nothing, our elections meant nothing, and the forums were completely dead.
Only one person enjoys a dictatorship and that is the dictator.
Rylde had his turn at dictator, he got his medals.
In just the few minutes since the coup button has been pushed I have already heard from several prominent citizens that they are planning on quitting if we go back to dictatorship.
Just when we were starting to get an active media again and the forums and political parties were active again, Rylde takes it upon himself to try to destroy it all again.
I realize Rylde spends a ton of money on our entertainment and has a following because of this, but I’m asking you not to fight for his dictatorship.
I know we don’t stand a chance unless someone wants to waste money like Rylde does but we can send a message.
I wonder how much entertainment Rylde and his cronies will have when there is no one else left here who cares what they do any more?
Well for their entertainment value I will say I do care, show them you care as well. Send a message and fight for democracy.
If you are in Rylde's party and you do not support dictatorship it's time for you to find another party. If you are in his MU, take his tanks and fight for democracy. Frankly I don't know why anyone would bother being in a political party unless they do support democracy. It is kind of the whole point of the module.
We have already lived through dictatorship and dictatorship sucks for every single player but the dictator.

230 albanians left the game because eAlbania stayed in dictatorship for 8 months.
I stayed for 8 months under albanian dictatorship and it was terrible. I saw many players who left their political carrier forever,people who left the game because thet were sad.
If Rylde becomes dictator,i'll leave eCanada.
I think a lot of that also comes from being constantly wiped.

I remember little under a year ago eCanada had a population of 1,000 citizens. Now we're barely hovering over 600.
The entire game also had well over 250,000 players and now sit slightly below 80,000. Diminished player interest is a game issue, not just a eCanada issue.
It's very simple. If you stay in CD or RW today, you are forever a traitor to eCanada.
There is no forgive and forget for this. There is no negotiation. There will be no reparations.

Determination builds incredibly fast so winning is not a problem but unless we actually have the majority supporting it and wanting democracy there is no point.
They should bury the dictatorship module. It just kills everything else about the game.
They should do a lot of things to fix the game, but unfortunately I think it's safe to say that only the players give a damn about the game anymore. The game developers (if such people even existed in the first place) have either checked out, or are dead in a ditch.
Best just too make the best of it and enjoy shooting other political party members for a change.

The Dictatorship module allows Gold buyers to rent a country. There isn't anything wrong with the module. They didn't create the module to improve the game. They made it to improve profits.
What a lot of you old timers don't understand is that this game isn't dying, its gotten more profitable. When something generates profits it doesn't change.
So no amount of waiting around will change that. Just quit and find another game.

The funny thing is this one make his way to dictatorship with a lot of money, a big part of them from donations that supposed to be used for eCanada, not for personal use.

Living outside of eCanada for a while makes you realize that if you know its history and the characters involved, the soap opera that plays out inside eCanada is easily the best entertainment in this game.
Enjoy - it beats any fun you get from playing in Plato's tournaments or watching the paint peel in other eCountries.
