eRepublik Gamechanger
As I wrote yesterday in my last article, if you want to change anything significantly in this game, a better solution than only complaining and writing articles and blogs about improving things in eRepublik by the admins/developers/management/Plato or writing to the eRepublik Labs team, would be to redirect your money spending from eRepublik payments to investing your money in Stillfront shares instead.
https://www.stillfront.com/en/the-share/
That would give us voting rights in this and other games owned by the Stillfront Group.
The Stillfront Share Price Drop on Feb 6, 2024
It's not even that expensive:
Today after the Q4 2023 report, the price of one share was 9.8 SEK, which is equivalent to 0.87 Eur.
So, for the price of a Power Pack (14.9 Eur) you get 17 Stillfront shares (17.12 to be more exact).
I think that'd be a real Power Pack in order to change the game.
Or if you prefer the price of the share in Gold, that would be 126.14 Gold per Stillfront share at the moment... So you could buy that and become an owner not only of eRepublik but of the huge pile of games...
Of course, you would buy it only if you think that'd be a good investment...
Stillfront - Full-year results for 2023
Today (February 7th, 2024) Stillfront announced its business results for Q4 and the whole year 2023.
Stillfront erepublik company reported its full-year results for 2023 earlier today (Wednesday 7 February 2024) at 7:00 a.m. CET. The report was presented in a live webcast at 10:00 a.m. CET today.
Jörgen Larsson, CEO, and Andreas Uddman, CFO, presented the results and answered some questions. The conference was held in English.
If you missed it, you could watch the webcast on the following link below:
https://ir.financialhearings.com/stillfront-q4-2023
The immediate result was that the Stillfront share dropped an extra 4.5% today after the report. And the day before it dropped -0.95%, which showed the lack of confidence of investors and the management and could have been read as a signal of a further drop today... And I won't speculate if there has been any inside trading during the recent days and weeks... However the stock price has been consistently dropping in 6 out of the last 7 days...
The Stillfront Share Price Drop (-4.5
😵on Feb 7, 2024 after announcing the financial results for Q4 2023 and the whole year 2023.
The price stabilized today (Feb 7th, 2024) at the end of the trading day at the -3.00% drop mark.
The Stillfront Share Price Drop (-3.00
😵on Feb 7, 2024 at the end of the trading day.
The company announced 1% increase in their profits for 2023%, which is not that bad, but it's significantly below the inflation rate. Compared to the average bank saving account rates currently at 4.64%, it seems it would have been better to keep your money in the bank.
However, if you care about the game, your money would be still better invested in the Stillfront shares than spent on the eRepublik game...
Think of the Stillfront share price drop today as a single day eRepublik -4.64% discount event.
The game that made the difference and made this profit increase instead of dropping is the newest game in the company portfolio: The Sunshine Island.
On the positive side, it seems that now when the share price has dropped, that the leadership has become aware that it's important to invest and add some new games and new content to the already existing games as the player community gets disatisfied and bored when ignored, meaning they leave the games, which decreases the profits and the price of the stock shares.
My comment on this... It seems it took quite a lot of time for them to realize this fact. However, slapping them where it hurts, on their pockets, is the most effective way to change their behavior... But as long as people are spending more and more, it doesn't show that much... Losing casual players, who don't pay, didn't hurt them immediately, but in free-to-play games, when non-paying players leave en masse, it makes the whales bored, too, and after a while they also lose interest... It just takes time... By then the community is devastated and it's usually too late to change the trend... But there is always hope, right?
Anyway, smart companies avoid such mistakes...
Here I bring a case study from my personal experience in the game development industry...
Case Study - DayZ and SCUM
The only better alternative than that, that I could think of, would be to create a better game, something what we did out of frustration by incompetence of the DayZ team.
The result is the SCUM Game.
The result was a huge success, a game that got sold in over 1 million copies only in the first month of its release, and more than 3 million copies so far with constant game upgrades and successful busines exit. You can read more about it in my previous article...

If eRepublik and Stillfront revenues were put on a pie chart, you would need a magnifying glass to find the eRepublik part. The game is not even mentioned anywhere on their website.
On the one hand, it seems like a missed opportunity for them to capitalize on a loyal user base.
On the other hand... look at this piece of shit lol
About a year ago Bonte said in an interview that eRep is still profitable, so I would say that they have been capitalizing quite well on the loyal user base.
About the missed opportunity, agree...
About trying to capitalize on a loyal user base, disagree...
They have been trying a lot, just with a short-term, greedy approach.
If they did the long game strategy and listen to the player community and give them what they want, they would have been much more successful...
Unfortunately, they missed that opportunity and lost over 90% of their player base...
This is a freaking 16 year old browser game, rarely games survives that long. The game was never designed for the stuff we see now - 300k/400k strength, unlimited farming(not anymore), hundreds of billions of damage being easily done in a round, Q7 factories being built by 10s and 100s to WAM in, average wages breaking Work Tax system etc. etc. This version of eRep is done, there is no point in salvaging it, better make a new, fresh, proper version, but I suspect Stillfront, that prides itself as data driven company, probably is reluctant about investing millions of euros in a game that has not yet proved itself to be convenient on phone and is auto-banned in China. They probably have more analytics friendly projects in their pipeline.
Agree. The idea and the concept was great, however it's badly executed. The game is not properly designed, it's poorly implemented and the technology is probably outdated or at least questionable...
What I liked the most about this game is the idea, the simulation of the world part, the creativity and expressing myself through articles and that it took only 10 min of my time per day.
What I don't like is the greedy approach, its over-commercialization, that the management doesn't listen to the players community, banning players who disagree with the direction, cheating in the game, then that the war module overshadowed everything else, that some modules have been totally neglected and not even completed, that the API was abandoned and that the player economy has been shattered...
The VIP Shop resurrected some parts of the economy, but it's too little, too late and still promoting the greedy approach...
The game was not designed to be this way, or to last this long, the systems grew out of control over time. I doubt any dev anticipated someone reaching 400k strength when they made pre-launch version. Regarding monetization, eRep in that regard is quite user friendly, the problem is that there are so few players remaining, that few tanks can have disproportionate influence, were the game more populated, you the influence of a single tank would not feel overpowered in any way. Name me a mainstream game which has their biggest EUR value packs(in eReps case, Gold and E😎 be so underwhelming.
It's a game that refuses to die...

Buying Stillfront shares for 1,3M CC 😃
Price of the share less than 1€ isn't cheap if there is billions shares of Stillfront 😉
Only cca half of a billion shares:
https://www.nasdaqomxnordic.com/aktier/microsite?Instrument=SSE116312
The point is, with one share you get a vote at the decision table and you get listened to.
For 14.9 EUR you get 17 of them.
With 25% you get a control package...
With 50% you control the company direction...
And as a group of players we can do much more than every one of us alone...
And there are tens of thousands of players...
All I am saying is something like this:
Making a new game > put money in the bank > invest massively in Stillfront shares > invest individually in Stillfront shares > boycott buying packs > complain and ask Plato to improve the game.
If we just “assume”, everyone bycott buying packs, and buy shares, game will shut down before people even get enough of shares to have a voice heard… because for them everything is based on 3 objectives:
- Revenue / Profit
- Organic Growth
- Cash Flow
Game does not meet objectives, good bye.
Good one! Thanks.
Can you explain a bit how this “voting power” works? And how can we influence their decisions, or contact them after buying shares?
Ok i read the comment above, got it.
