eAustrian interview with 3 guests

Day 1,204, 14:48 Published in Austria USA by Hale Kane

Hello eAustria and it's citizens. As I promised in my earlier article about writing a interview, I have done so. But the big surprise is that the interview is towards three of our own players in eAustria that have had experience in this country for a while and know some history about eAustria itself.

Here with me are:

Vreath

Eldres

and...

Rangeley

Thank you for allowing me to interview all of you individually and ask some questions.

Questions and Answers

Patar333: What was eAustria's government like when you we're starting as a citizen of eAustria and in what ways did it change?

Vreath: It was a very turbulent situation. We had at first a very stable government, but Austria was as today, very small. We were confronted with a serious PTO attempt, which we thank god managed. Poland and Croatia attacked us randomly, but we could not fight back that easily. Eventually we did it and rescued Austria at this point.

Eldres: When I signed up in december 2009 Rangeley was president of Austria.
I only worked and trained every day, so I don't know much about his government in december 2009.

Rangeley: The government has changed completely since I started playing in the early summer of 2009. We had a few cabinet members, none of which could speak German. No real systems were implemented within the government - it didn't have much structure at all. All of these things have changed - we have bilingual press releases, and a much more structured government, with more ministries and people involved doing tasks.

Patar333: We're there any important event's happening when you started? And how did you help in those events if you did?

Vreath: See question 1, I could not help very efficiently as I was a very 'young and weak' citizen with little strength, but nevertheless, I fought for my country like a berserk.

Eldres: When I started to do more than only work and train Austria was invaded by Croatia
I mostly tried to get more RL-Austrians to eRepublik, some of my friends started to play, but left 2 months later.

Rangeley: The biggest event of the time period was World War III. The Austrian Government supported the war when it began, but there were a few who questioned whether it was really in Austria's interests to participate in what appeared to simply be a war of revenge and conquest, and whether the war was staying true to the principles of PEACE GC. I was an early opponent of the war, and over time, public opinion shifted against the war.
I ran for President in October 2009 wanting to, among other things, try and push for internal reform in PEACE GC against the war and similar actions. We formally withdrew involvement from the war that month, and found some support in other nations, but it was at a time when the alliance was losing too much credibility, even amongst member states. The nations who wanted to continue to conquer just continued, regardless of what happened internally within the alliance.

Patar333: What make's eAustria today feel like home to you?

Vreath: eAustria was and will always be my home. I am RL Austrian and therefore there is an undestroyable bond between me and this beautiful country. And the community in eAustria is just perfect, we have a optimal communication, without any real trolling, and I met so many good friends in eAustria that it will never, really never, come into my mind to leave eAustria. It is my home!

Eldres: I spent most of my eLife in eAustria, I know many players in here.
I think thats why eAustria feels like home to me.

Rangeley: I like the community of Austria and the people in it. Its basically the only reason I play eRepublik.

Patar333: Is there anything you would change for the better if you could go back to the past?

Vreath: Well, what can I do? We had several treasury robberies by CPs who got elected by multis. Without these robberies we would now be in a very stable situation. That are some points which determined eAustria's path: Today we are not that strong as we would like to be. But we are willing to fight til our death and that is what makes everyone, especially me, here in eAustria proud.

Eldres: I would've not trusted other people that easily I think.

Rangeley: While there are probably always specifics you wish you could improve, I'm happy with the friends I have made along the way, and I think that it has been worthwhile

Patar333: Well thank you guys for allowing me to have this interview with you all. I myself learned a little more about eAustria than I used to know. I feel honoured. With these interview questions, this was done willingly by all three members. These answer's we're word for word. No changes at all.
105% real.

Thank you for the members reading this article. With my next article, I'll try to add in some different people that either just moved here and maybe add in another members with a lot of experience in eAustria.
