Do it Yourself you Lazy F****'s!!!
Rylde
All I read they days are well said things by well meaning players and it gets tiring.
Only one problem with all the holier than thou talk they preach and spread like religious zealots trying to incite a riot.
THERE ALL FROM OUTTA COUNTRY!!!
They lost the political battle in eCanada through plain old fashioned surrender. They rolled over on there back like a 2 dollar hooker for money in USA. When push came to shove only thing that was shoved was a D*** up there a**.
Now through sheer laziness they come back here and say all the things those of you who stayed behind want to hear. Hell even a few comments touched me like i was a well meaning player who was an enabler. I got all warm in fuzzy inside like when i give my 14 year old cousins there first beer.
Comes down to one thing STFU and stop bi***ing about what u have no ability to affect or come and bring the fight back to canada politically.
You already got ur a** handed to you once by Rolo, myself and the Coalition. Nowhere to go but up.
Unless of course your to Chicken Mcfly.
Comments
I agree. They should all come back to eCanada from wherever they moved to and help Bury the Hatchet. Why do they hate eCanada so much when it would be wiser to join hands in a Coalition of the willing and start working together.
Amen
The time for hatchet burying is long past. I've made my choices and stand by all of them including holding my ground with allies I threw in with when others wouldn't give me the time of day.
Put down my Socrates to think about the idea that foreigners can have no ideas of merit. Walked to the kitchen, glanced at the Diefenbaker biography and the New York Times. Put milk in my coffee. Tweeted that I put milk in my coffee. Started to watch the '72 series - those Russians had nothing to contribute ! We beat them up good. Feels good.
Idea's don't go far with no true leaders to carry the torch of hope and change.
We torched hope and took all her loose change. Actually, we just borrowed it so we could buy more kerosene.
Foreigners can and do have ideas of merit, self impossed e😜ats can also have ideas of merit, but if they want those ideas to come to fruition they need to come back and work for what they believe in. Otherwise their comments although well intentioned really don't have any weight behind them.
"Ideas don't go far without leaders"..... "put down my Socrates"......He wrote nothing, just talked. And was executed for it. His ideas were preserved by others, championed by others. Then they died out and were rediscovered and championed again. Yes leaders are required. And ideas as well. The leaders should be homegrown. Ideas don't have nationalities.
kind regards
I was going to write a really witty retort, but then i saw this:
"We torched hope and took all her loose change. Actually, we just borrowed it so we could buy more kerosene." -plugson
and all i have to say now is x2

I have been in this game for almost a year and most eCan politics are still rooted in events well before my time. I do not think that things should just be forgotten however this is a game and holding a grudge for over a year is like holding a grudge for generations, many of those originally involved are gone and a whole new generation of players is in danger of being taught to blindly hate instead of being taught how to work together and improve things.
@Marshal858, with respect: In my own case it's not a grudge. I just got tired of being the mark in the con game, so I left. I'd come back if I saw any hope of change, even though I'm sure all that would be awaiting me is abuse. But here's the thing: I don't see any realistic hope of change. Even now, Rylde's anger is directed at the wrong people. I have stolen nothing, I have betrayed no-one's trust, I have only played selflessly. I call for others to do likewise, and I'm the enemy?
Rylde, do you want people to return so the Coalition has something to destroy or are you genuinely interested in rebuilding eCan?
If the former, GTFO.
If the latter, use the same leadership skills that made you a Norse god in Sweden, to achieve your goals.
@ Marshal858, I feel for you, I really do. I spent most of my early eLife working to build a strong and stable eCanada, I enjoyed the pleasure of working in the cabinets fo 5 presidents. Unfortunately, a force grew within eCanada to destroy that which myself and countless others before me worked so tirelessly to construct.
Things got so bad that eventually the country and community I had fought and worked for no longer resembled my idea of what it should be, and on that day I decided...
To stop fighting and start enjoying the game again. I left with a fragment of hope that one day the eCanada community would realize that it is broken and actually start to end the corruption that plaugues its political system. Unfotunatly it appears that any hope of this self-realisation is foolish.
The eCanada I new and loved is dead, I just can't seem to accept that sadness.
I gotta say I agree with Addy on this one. You don't really care about making anything better, you just want people to s&%t on when you get drunk and have nothing else to do. My thoughts on that are similar to words you used previously, go F yourself.
This game would be better if it somehow reset every year and all numbers went back to Zero and all territories went back to original owners. Points would then be tallied at the end of the round(year) and recorded in a running total.
I know that doesn't work with the game setup for eRep...too many large investments in companies, alliances, territories, etc. However, at least then we could have said, "So and so won that round. We learned from our mistakes. Next time that won't happen."
Sadly, the money will never be returned. The shame, embarrasment, bitterness won't be undone by a reset. Rylde would be a fun guy to play in chess or Axis and Allies or whatever game where a loss is a loss and a win is a win and next round is a chance to do things better to beat your opponent
This game, on the other hand, can get unbearable with the baggage that builds and builds without release.Probably the craziest thing I've ever seen...well, beside my family reunion, and they're nuts
Half the time I feel like Rylde does, the other half I wonder why the hell am I still here.

But then we couldn't get the inevitable retorts from the apologists commenting on how "useless" we are and that we can't be bothered to do anything now could we? As if what we built that they destroyed was nothing in the first place. It's okay though, those of us that have stuck around that actually put effort into something other than destruction will rebuild when you guys get bored and wander away.
And no anotherlamedrunk, I couldn't get US citizenship, because I never left.
I stand by Rylde's point on this one.
Keep your nose in your own business.
This is what caused the Can-Am War.
You left eCanada and preach how the grass is greener on the otherside.
...We don't care about your sob storry.
[Code-y + Potato] x [Evry + Rylde] = Can-Am War.
tl;dr
TCB, expect PM
@Venoms III
You fail dude.
Fighting corruption by emigrating seems to be a strategy that has yet to bear any fruit.
Truly bewildering.
"They rolled over on there back like a 2 dollar hooker for money in USA. "
Wait... There were $2 Canadian hookers in the US? WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED!!!
(I miss all the fun shit!)
Maybe I can unbewilder you funky. I didn't leave to fight corruption. I left because I was tired of anteing taxes and effort into building a community only to have a bunch of immature jack@$$es steal and destroy, and then cackle at how much smarter they were than the rest of us. And now every once in a while, they try to bait me back in with a combination of abuse and appeal to my team spirit? Nice try, no sale.
Shhhh... .
an open question
if the opinions of people commenting from outside matter not, why bother responding to them
it's all rather drab and samsaric, no?
""Fighting corruption by emigrating seems to be a strategy that has yet to bear any fruit.
Truly bewildering."
On our way out, we threw a temper tantrum and provided an ultimatum: give us what we want or we will break the toys. No pardon, no eUK colonies. Obviously the pardon paid off, you didn't get the EPC members back and Rolo flourished and you got Wally back into office. Worked out predictably.
I've been asking that question for a while now. Things have only gotten worse since the Rolo pardon was granted, there was no slowing down of him in game from the pardon, and the political landscape has gotten nothing but worse and worse as time has gone on. Perhaps the parole should be removed.
Socrates is an interesting name to invoke in this Oliver. A man who, instead of fleeing, took the poison and accepted death. His philosophies and teachings live on not based solely on what he said, but that he had the conviction to follow them to his own ultimate end.
A more accurate comparison happened about 400 years later. It ends with a lot of the people you're routinely lumped in with accepting 30 pieces of silver. And keeping with that tale, let it be known I forgive all but one.
Seems like I got my citizenship after the tornado hit. All I can say is, you still got better communication skills than eAus politics. Would really like to see what you guys could do if you all were on the same page.
Etemenanki, as wrong as the pardon might have been in principle, there might have been some argument for it if it had turned out that the thief would take the opportunity to turn over a new leaf. Except of course, this was the tenth such opportunity and he made it clear in advance that the lady wasn't for turning. So instead what we have is another example of how people got fooled again, and the thief got more lulz at how much smarter he is than anyone else. Sad.
Of course, if you "remove" the pardon (one of the problems with making your pardon "unconditional" is I am not sure how that could even be done, hence why I argued so vehemently against it), you've given him another example of the apparent arbitrariness of your justice system with which to propagandize. The thief wants others to get drawn into a "might makes right" view of the game, since that provides him with yet another "hate the game, not the player" stick.
Rigour;
eCan is like the producers of Anger Management who have hung their hopes on Charlie Sheen, everyone deserves a 26th chance.
What did you build Rigour?
Fighting corruption by emigrating seems to be a strategy that has yet to bear any fruit.
Truly bewildering. x2
Lol, at butthurt traitors reporting a comment for deletion.
But i'll ask again - Dont you guys get tired of writing the same whines everyday, multiple times a day?
poop
"eCan is like the producers of Anger Management who have hung their hopes on Charlie Sheen, everyone deserves a 26th chance."
Anger Management got picked up for 100 episodes. They're gonna make hundreds of millions of dollars.
Maybe we should get Charlie Sheen to join the game and elect him as our CP!
@plugson In real life you could just punch someone in the face, you know, to release all that build up....
Maybe Admin needs to make an ePunch.
You would think that everyone who plays this game are teenage girls in high school.
I may be wrong but nothing has been stolen since the pardon last time i checked. So perhaps its not all doom and gloom as the runaways seem to be clamoring.
By the amount of casr-offs commenting seems I touched a nerve and rylde them up.
mcfly! you chicken?
sigh, loved that movie
Zzzz......*stirs*......zzzzzZZ
