Dictator and gold
Guagature
Ok citizens of eAustralia.
We need your input to close a discussion, the question is
If a Dictator stays in power for 30 days then they get a shiny medal and 50 gold, if we allow the outgoing Dictator to sty if a new one is coming in (or if they run a second term) should the gold go towards the countries benefit?
As per the Wiki rules if a Dictator serves 30 days consecutively they are entitled to a medal and 50 gold.

The cost of overthrowing the Dictator is massively disproportionate to the 50 gold he receives, so you will never be able to viably enforce it
Yeah some people only think of their pocket not their country.
coz the country founded for securing our pocket and our dish, isn't it?
then make sure for our safety and ease.
Agree about people thinking for themselves, much like the one saying it was rude to ask Xenthus for our money.
Bit of a joke if you ask me them selves before country
And, Guag?
You have an unspoken assumption that money is better in the government's hands than the individual's. With extra congress or dictator gold individuals can build companies and grow our economy. Or upgrade their TGs so we might one day have some people who can fight. For an old e-country our strength is pathetic.
To the best of my knowledge, all the country does with it is sign too many MPPs. Or worse, lose it.
Partly agree Ilene, people come and go in the game so the gold kept by them will disappear quicker as opposed to going to the government for long term MPP's
Saying that I don't believe in this every country possible to become MPP'd with us as it is just a waste.
The government can funnel the money through DoEE, ADF etc to fund the current players of the country so still win win.
Loosing money well that is not entirely true it is the dog who stole it not the country who lost it
The ADF?? that is not what it used to be, I have been hitting harder then the whole of the ADF put together.
"This week, the government MU with one person in D2 manage to rank 4th in Australia, that is not because of strength, it is because of peoples willingness to give it all to the country."
I certainly hope you are not loosing your mind there Rusty. I am sure that comment above is about the ADF.
End of the day money put towards it is benefiting the people that put an effort into eAus. My comment doesn't mean every person in the ADF will get funding it can purely be additional tanks/gold/CC for the ones who make the extra effort to help them grow for the country.
Remember the ADF is targeting lower level players that are noobs and are not self sufficient like yourself
Should be their gold to do with as they please. If they set a good example and precedent by helping the country all the better, and that should be encouraged rather than forced... No one should be scorned for accepting a reward the system gives them
Just reread this about using it for extra gold too with a purposefully late change over... It will end up being spread out past a few days of elections within a few terms and creates unbalance that can and most likely will cause tension in the future... If the new dictator and old want to, sure their call, but an old vote on this issue shouldn't distrupt power change over..... I'm aware I've been inactive and cbf with forums but i feel the points I've made will one day save an argument or two, which honestly is worth more than gold half the time
The hand over should be immediate, no waiting for a medal.
then 50 gold goes into thin air
Only one time though. If handover is about 06:00 on Election Day every time there is a handover, then there will be no further issues.
Eventually little delays will accumulate to a whole day and someone will miss out again.
Wrong Ilene, over time there is more months with 31 days than there is 30 or 28/29. So it will all be fine if we restart the cycle, and do it right from here on.
Whoever gets February is in the shit though lol
I voted no. Here's what I wrote in the forum poll:
I'm with lany on handover. As soon as practical after the results are official. Otherwise this issue will keep popping up. Let's squash it once and squash it now.
Nobody should be pressured into handing over achievement rewards to treasury. If people want to, that's fine. But guilt trips and peer pressure? That's bullshit.
If the country is so desperate for cash, increase the goddamned taxes. Or have less spending!
Funny comment about the taxes. When you did a lot of whining about a 1% increase in them.
In the past perhaps. Last week I proposed an increase...
lol
I voted yes because it would be for the benefit of eAustralia as a whole. The saying One for All, All for One comes to mind, the Individual should act for the benefit of the group and the group should act for the benefit of the Individual.
