Day 1082 - Canada hold off counter attack as battle fronts explode worldwide.

The Irish Connection:
Before I get onto the events of the last couple days I want to give a brief overview of the situation between the UK and Ireland. As you can see on the world map, Ireland is currently in possession of Northern Ireland which is an original region of the UK. Back when the Canadians begun the initial invasion of Scotland, Ireland joined them in attacking Northern Ireland and Wales and conquering Northern Ireland.
Since conquering NI, Ireland have yet to attack another UK region despite still having a boarder with Wales. With their prize region, will the Irish help Canada take the last regions of the UK or is NI enough to satisfy them? As is stands they seem to be happy enough to let Canada take UK regions alone but they only have until Canada take Wales to join the fray.
North West of England was secured by Canada in the war versus United Kingdom.
6 hours prior to publishing this article the UK faced another embarrassing setback in the war against Canada. Late into day 1081 the UK launched an attack on their native region of North West of England, however the attack gained very little support from UK’s citizens or her allies and the battle ended in a resounding 8-0 victory for Canada.
Diversions:
The probable reason behind such a loss is that the battle was only used as a diversionary battle to tempt Canadian and allied citizens to fight against the UK rather than in a flurry of battles opened across the new world.
International:
Throughout day 1081 and 1082 numerous battles were opened by many EDEN and Phoenix nations including 4 attacks on Hungarian regions, 7 attacks on Spanish regions, 2 attacks on Serbian regions and a string of RWs on Romanian regions.
As it stands, Hungary has managed to defeat all 4 invading forces and has launched a counter attack on a Romanian held native region meanwhile Spain has so far lost 2 battles against Brazil and one against France with 4 battles still raging. Serbia is currently holding off both attacking forces of Romania and Croatia while Romania has defeated all 4 Resistance forces.

Maegalodonus, I was intending this to be a paper focused on the UK, I cant compare to Scheisskopf so i reckon its best to let him cover the international stuff. 😛
I'll probably end up analysing the rest of the news from camp UK rather than international news affairs.
Ireland can also attack the UK at SW through Conn.
