Join the new world

This is my first serious article since buying this newspaper when I was a newb so please Vote and Sub and I’ll try and keep up on UK affairs.

Yorkshire & Humberside was conquered by Canada in the war versus United Kingdom.



Yesterday the defending forces of the UK failed to hold back the Canadian offensive on Yorkshire & Humberside and lost the region in the 10th mini-battle. The Defenders put up minimal effort and only won 2 of the mini-battles due to more important battles elsewhere on the eglobe.

The attack comes over 5 days after the previous Canadian advancement showing the lack of pace this front is moving at and there doesn’t appear to be any chance of this changing in the foreseeable future. Time will only tell if it takes another 5 days or maybe more for the next region to fall, the cards are in Canada's hands unless the UK tries to push into the occupied territories after the President elections finish.

Impact:

The loss wont bother too many UK citizens as a mere 57 citizens lived in the region and it held no economical value however the defeat will forcibly remind the UK populace that Canada are not far off their doorstep.

For some citizens the defeat may once again call into question the UK’s allegiance to Phoenix, it remains to be seen whether Phoenix can defend one of their largest members, let alone a small one like the UK.

Future direction:

The periods between attacks has meant that the UK still has some time left to turn things around however we have to act soon if we want to stop the Canadians getting too close to London.

If the Canadians manage to reach London this time then the Fortress London tactic may come into play. The Fortress London tactic works so well because Canada need to spend large sums of Gold to even reach London, then the large attack costs coupled with the gold needed to tank to victory means that a lot of gold is needed to win the battle. Meanwhile the UK will have spent little gold on defending the regions meaning they can use as much gold as needed to keep the region in UK hands then push the Canadians, who would now out of gold, away from London.

International:

Meanwhile on the international stage Serbia were removed from southern Asia by US and allied forces, this dealt a large blow to the safety of Indonesia which appears to be the next target for the US forces. Many are expecting this front to explode over the coming days and I doubt that it will leave anyone disappointed.

Other battlefields such as the Spanish, German and Estonian fronts have slowed down lately with the focus sliding towards southern Asia and the much talked about PTO of Russia.
