Army Restructuring - Issue 03 - 09 Jun

Day 2,758, 15:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jake Lee Blakeway

I would like to take a moment to discuss warfare. As you know eArgentina are close to launching an invasion out of spite. They have robbed Flanders and our warming up their weapons as we speak.
But how prepared are we?

I mean really prepared?

If anyone read my Manifesto you would have learnt that I discussed this nation’s army briefly. I thought I would touch up on it a bit more here considering the massive battle we are going to be facing soon enough.

Whether we like it or not. Our army is very fragmented, split across a variety of units all varying in strength. The frustrating this is, he at the eUK we have some titans of war, but due to bad co-ordination they can go to the wrong places and fight the wrong battles. Let’s get one thing clear. This isn’t anyone’s fault. To co-ordinate on this scale is something that has never been done before, but for us to get to the next level, we need to do this.

So how do we do it? Well, that question could take Eons to answer. Ask any commander and they will give you a certain set of answers. Ask the politicians in congress and they will most likely give you a different set of answers. I have my own solution. I am not going to say that it is the best, because it isn’t. However I believe it to be a good starting block for which we can build on.

Any mass army needs to have clear leadership. The best way to do this is to reduce to the number of active military units and create an official command structure. In my Manifesto I suggested creating four new army units, three are the mainstream units where the bulk of our powerhouses live. The fourth and final one is for new players, combining their power to make a semi-potent force while they build their strength.

The commander of each of the three units forms the highest level of command structure for the eUK army. They would be joined by three congressmen to make the defence cabinet – the sole group responsible for co-ordinating the British Army.

We could go deeper, start having rotations so that we don’t all fight at the same time and burn out in one phase. However that requires a much higher level of tactical oversight. One I don’t think we would ever achieve for a while. I think this basic three Army system would help us centralise our forces, while allowing us to operate around the globe in multiple battles. I am sure our allies would be a lot more grateful if we could send a much larger, complete force to help them, rather than a split up group of small units and lone wolves that turned up on their doorstep.

That’s it for today’s wrap up. I have a few more things I would want to say, but I feel as if I am bogging you down with too much information.

And for one more shameful plug. My BDP PP manifesto is here. I have to campaign right? Or else running is useless right?

Until Tomorrow…
