And So, It's Just London Left- Issue 12 - 21 Jun

Well here we are. Our final stand. I suppose in 24 hours, we will all be forced to sing the Argentinian national anthem *shudder* This is the first time I have been in a country wipe. So I don’t know what happens. I guess we just join in with all the other repressed states like Spain and desperately try to break free.

I am sure right now that many people are divided as to whether we did a good enough job. I think given what has been going on, I think we did the best job we could. Sadly for us the Argentinians declared war at 11pm and they had allies who were on around the clock. We could only really defend ourselves in the evening. By that point the battle had been lost.

I do think that the Admins need to address this, maybe by forcing a 24 hour invasion warning so that countries can mobilise. However one thing I have noticed about this game, is the admins don’t seem to care, therefore nothing will change. When I started in 09, there were more features then there was now. This version of eRepublik seems to have stripped things out.

I suppose all we can do now is look for new allies, see if we can make new friends. Attitudes can change; I would even suggest talking to the French. I am sure that when you get to know them they are not stereotypically French at all. They can’t hate us that badly can they? It does seem as if rough times are ahead, afterall, we won’t even be making a lot of money, so starting wars could be difficult. I suppose I am grateful I made the 50 Gold contribution to the country in the end at least we can convert that into Country Currency. Though in hindsight, 50 Gold is nowhere near enough.

We do need to think about our next steps carefully. When we are this down on the ground, every little move we makes counts. We can’t afford mistakes like larger nations can. I only real chance for survival is to talk to major powers, see if we can convince them to join us and help us liberate our lands. We have to choose our battle carefully as well. Making sure that we only strike when our enemies are occupied enough to allow us an easy victory.

We also need to look at solving this rift that has formed between us. I know a lot of people considered my last post to be a bit of angry rant, but it truly wasn’t. If I was angrily ranting there would have been a lot more capital letters in there. While I may want William and Bruce wiped off the face of the eWorld. I also know that it’s not likely to happen. Despite their ways, we are stuck with them. I would like to believe that in long run we would be able to piece things together and learn the truth about what has happened these past few months. I fear that would be going a step too far however.

For now. We need co-operation. Now more than ever. If we fight as a single unit, focusing on one target rather than fighting for allies, we could take back at least on territory. I think we also need a brave foreign affairs minister, who would be willing to try and challenge other countries perceptions of us, and try to build brand new bridges that could help us secure our restoration. I am not saying that person should be me. I think we need to have a good think and pick the right person for the job. I would most certainly not mind doing it, but that is beside the point. I wouldn’t mind being CP actually while we are on the subject... now that would be great...

I just think that right now, we need Heroes, and I even mean it in a cheesy American Superhero movie sense. We need people to step up to the plate and fight, negotiate and build like they have never done before. And I can promise you this, if we all work hard enough, and all do our bit, our 1000 people can rise up like a phoenix and show the world what the United Kingdom is made of.
