And again: the same names !?
james janeway
We got a new congress. And.. a lot of congressman we know already. The same ones as usual.
If is often writen and i write it again. It seems Euk is ruled by the happy vew. A small number of players that make al decissions.
They have said that they are not the elite, but i think they are!
And an elite is not good for our country.
New players and players that only play the game and are not very active on forums, got - again - no opportunities.
This is bad. It is one of the reasons that new players quit and older players seem te be inactive.
The game has to be for every player and every player has the right to do the thinks he or see likes. Why the large parties do nog give half of there congressplaces to new players?
Maybe it is time for a new party, that fights for the rights of the normal players and against the elite...
James Janeway.

New players need to earn the right to represent the party in congress. This comes from showing a particular level of intelligence and activity.
There's plenty of 1st time congressmen in most parties. I suspect that they earned there place at the big boys table.
First time congressmembers;
TUP - 5 of 13, UKPP - 3 of 8, NE - 5 of 10 and UKRP 1 of 3.
So you're looking at 14 out of 40 at the moment - 35%
But that new congresmembers are NO new players. They are allready part of the elite...
You're on another planet, write an article when you're not deluded.
Which UKPP congressman are part of the elite? Even the most elite of elite parties have ran a new guy. You'll always seem to come out with a butthurt article around election times. Normally when you haven't won....
And what new congressman has a low rate, like 21, 22 ???
IronfistsTempest is a New Era Congress Member. He's level 24 and started playing 19 days ago.
New enough for you?
I have only been playing for 6 weeks and have been elected to Congress for the first time. I would consider myself to be a new player, especially considering some people here have been here for 4 years.
@james, maybe you're in the wrong party
Bohemond4 was 10 days old on election day and given top priority by TUP. I guess he's somehow part of the oldfag elite too though eh.
Average Congressional Exp and level per party;
TUP 5 terms/Level 40
UKPP 2 terms/Level 36
New Era 3 terms/Level 32
ESO 3 terms/level 35
UKRP 10 terms/Level 34
The 'process' of getting nominated varies from party to party.
Some of them will require you to register elsewhere and be on IRC, some will want manifestos, some will go on in-game activity alone, others will be restricted to 'pals club'.
Age, level and (in some parties) prior congressional experience isn't generally a consideration.
It seems there are a lot of new members of congress. Alfagrem did good work in bringing on the facts.
I am glad so many new are in the congress. I do hope it will be a good month for UK.
Lord Cromwell...yeah a brilliant and constructive post considering you were calling for more unity and lets mud throwing.
Voted btw
How is what I said mud-slinging? The article displays elements of deluded fantasy almost from another world, we have had a congressional election where many new players have been given a chance while many good people have run again.
"New players and players that only play the game and are not very active on forums, got - again - no opportunities."
This article is wrong and accepting it would make me wrong.
"New players and players that only play the game and are not very active on forums, got - again - no opportunities."
New players got a chance Lord Lewis, but how many of them were required to use IRC or Forums to ensure selection?
Of the UKPP '8' I'd say only 2 of them are IRC lurkers with another 3 of them 'strike' regulars. The other 3 were there based on in-game activity alone (UKPP obv. doesn't use the 'Kumnaa' forums as a guide).
this article made me smile
I got selected for my first term based on in game activity - I rarely used IRC and the forums, though now I'm in congress I do so I can best represent the people that voted for my party.
new players should get more advantage, more privalige, more notice.
ALL PLAYERS ARE IMPORTANT : this will make things more equal and much more fair
The thing is perilouspanther, James Janeway may well have been put forward and been in congress by now if he stopped ranting about how unfair it is that he wasn't given the first election slot etc. He wasn't given a preference slot several elections ago and took the fact in a childish manner - he seems to think that because he is a newer player that he has a right to be a congressman in the name of fairness. All he is generally doing is annoying the hell out of the people (ie the PPs) who....
have the buttons to change the order that people get in. If he calmed down, and actually posted positive articles on a mature manner, he might actually get somewhere.
New Era had 50% of their elected Congress members are in their first stint. (Going by memory on that so i will gladly apologise if proved wrong), so it does look like New Era are the party of opportunity \o/
However you are in UKPP and I do rate that party very, very highly.
LLC, he should use your example and use his articles to slyly arrange a take over of another party eh? : )
UKPP have a rich history in allowing newer guys into congress and giving them shots others parties are reluctant to give.
Listening to Mr Knee would be a great start James.
5 of our congressmen were first timers, including me : ) No other party elected more!
Danie, you are NOT a new player. You are level 40!
