Nothing is certain as to who did it. There was and still is a lot of confusion. Octavius has left eIndia to Kismu and Asmita. As I said some of the lost money was donated to both of them, the actual loss is lesser. As of now, CBI is secure and only Kismu has access. He is waiting to talk to Octavius regarding the situation and we can expect a release from him soon.

May I know who are the older guys who stole money? Do you know that the account status of CBI is available for all to check? You dont need to have the Password? If you do, why dont you ask where is money going out, everytime you it? I am sure the MoF will respond.

Of course, guys are stealing it and that is the reason the 2 names mentioned here reported the missing money the moment they saw it and spent the better part of yesterday trying to recover the money and get access to CBI.
I am sure there are conspiracy theories that ppl like you will always come up with.
The reason Kismu or Asmita did not make it public immediately is because we had our priorities set which were to recover the money get access to CBI before putting in Press Briefings.

Most seniors on IRC were told about it. By the time Anant asked at that was around 10 PM, i was at my end of the day and cudnt explain. But yeah, thanks for sharing.

In short someone who knows the CBI password made a multi and stole the money, this was foretold months ago

I am assured that all money will be recovered soon.
A part of it has already been recovered, the rest are being worked on.

I am NOT pointing fingers toward any individual. But thanks to Anant, otherwise we would have NEVER know that Money was stolen from CBI accounts.

Its really disappointing...that Kismu or any other individual didn't think that it was important to let the public know about this incident.

I cannot reveal the details of an on going investigation 😛. All i can say is the money is not lost.

Fighter100, Asmita has already explained this. They hoped to secure CBI, restrict this to a minor theft and retrieve the money before making a press release. There was no intention to keep this secret.

But I guess Anant did the job before the govt.

I know that efforts to recover the money are going on. It would be great if it could be recovered. I wrote the article because of many reasons. And as Asmita said, Kismu is doing a great job.

Scam waiting to happen? People who have password must have done. Did govt. change the password once government changed recently? Of course government has to take reponsibility and should answer people questions? How many people have password? Why whoever stole the money gave money to Kismu & Asmitha? Puzzling? Govt. need to give statement as two or more days has passed.

We have recovered about 2.1 mil and 30g so far. We are still confident that we will get the rest back. As of now, we are not transfering any money to the CBI nor spending anything from it.
We are using the 1mil that was trasferred to me.
Our priority now is the keep the Govt function as normal. All MPPs and military functions to carry on as usual. Apart from this we are concentrating on getting the money back.
