An Interview With Bhane

Day 2,390, 13:11 Published in Ireland South Korea by An Sluagh

Mo Chairde,

Following Bhane's announcement over his intention to depart from the game I asked for a brief interview about his time and thoughts of eIreland.

[Q1.] What made you decide to become an eIrish citizen when you first joined eRepublik?
[A1.] My Irish roots. I'm a celt through and through.

[Q2.] What was the highlight and most memorable experience you have had as an eIrish citizen?
[A2.] Conquering London in my first CP term.

[Q3.] You served as Irish President on four occasions, what advice would you give to young inexperienced politicians who aspire to become CP one day?
[A3.] Try to come up with ways to bring the community together. Party politics is self destructive for the nation. Remember that it's eIreland vs the game, not eIreland vs each other.

[Q4.] Which citizen who has never been President would you like most to become the Irish President in the future and why?
[A4.] Castaneda
I'd love to see what that old coot could do in the big chair.

[Q5.] Who in your eyes is the greatest eIrish citizen of all time and why?
[A5.] Nobody, there are too many people who are great in their own way. Different players have different strengths. I can say that there is no player I trust more than Sweet Drinker, and trust counts for a lot in this game.

[Q6.] What do you think are the positives within Irish society?
[A6.] Unflinching loyalty to friends, rousing debate on any issue, and an unstoppable determination through any conflict(war or wipe).

[Q7.] If you could sit down and have a beer or coffee with one eIrish citizen, who would it be and where would it be?
[A7.] Sweet Drinker
Any coffee shop or bar in my hometown, so I don't have to travel.

[Q8.] Which nation do you think Ireland holds the strongest relationship with? What do you think are the reasons for this relationship?
[A8.] Our greatest ally is Croatia.
Our greatest friend is Canada.
Both nations have fierce loyalty to us, and we give the same in return. I have a favorite quote that describes us to a tee, from a Canadian article.

"Ireland’s one of our best bros, and have been for awhile. What they lack in the strength department, they make up for in heart and booze. ... It goes to show you that allies don’t need to be strong to be awesome. What matters is not how much damage they have, but how much we can rely on, and with the Irish, it’s always just enough to make a difference."

[Q9.] If you could airstrike one nation in eRepublik, where would you attack?
[A9.] The new country of Nigeria which has 3 weapon resources we do not own. If we could somehow maintain a rental of Maine (not going to happen), we could have all 5 weapon resources (even if 3 are at half-bonus level)

[Q10.] Overall, how would you rate your eRepublik experience?
[A10.] It has been a surprisingly rewarding experience for a mere browser game. The best in-game community I have ever been a part of.

Go raibh míle maith agat,
Tiocfaidh Ár Lá,

An Sluagh.
