A new party?

Day 1,915, 06:40 Published in United Kingdom Australia by Send love to Plato

Today I am proud to announce the grand opening of the eUK's newest party - The Independent Alliance.

Open to all and more than willing to work and communicate with all all the eUK’s political parties, we hope to be a bridge between the divide in the eUK political scene. The Independent Alliance will also be a completely middle of the road and fully democratic political party with the prosperity of the eUK and her citizens being our number one priority.

So how will we operate?

Well we will have monthly conferences which we are unashamed to say is already a concept successfully used by some of our country's parties, these conferences will discuss policy development, party schemes to make eRepublik fun and discussions on which direction the party seeks to follow with regards to the monthly CP elections. Each members voice will just as important as every other Independent Alliance member and they will all get a vote before the party will progress on anything discussed at the party conference. A constitution has already been drafted and will be open to editing and tweaking at each party conference so our foundations will be up to date and relevant on a regular basis.

Our party will hold a monthly ballot at the conference where all members will be allowed their right to vote on who we, as a party, back in the CP elections. Currently we may be just another ripple in the vast political ocean of the eUK but every CP candidate does like to see more parties, no matter how big or small, back their vision for the eUK in their campaign. The ballot will be done via PM's with the member voting in code within a party article. This process will be continuous but will be open to change if the members vote to alter the system, and we have enough members to be able to create our own political section within the eRepublik forums. We will be encouraging members of the Independent Alliance to sign up and participate in the forums and play a part in the forum side of the game, though obviously we hope they respect the differing views of other parties and individuals.

We are lucky in the eUK to have some well established long standing parties whose members have a wealth of experience, this along with the raw eagerness of young players found within the newer parties are who we are looking forward to working with. We want to create an environment where our members are free to offer and express their opinions without scorn, an environment that is fun and easy going and reflects in our members interactions with other parties.

We know the eUK political scene is a very difficult environment to break into, the current high membership rankings of the hallowed top five demonstrates this, but our aim is not to be big and powerful...just significant enough so our members feel they are playing a part whilst enjoying the game and getting the most from it. We want our members to feel that their voice is heard and is important rather than be another face in a large crowd, an we aim to guarantee that every persons opinions is just as important as every other Independent Alliance member.

We hop you will vote and support this article as one thing we will not be doing is buying votes to obtain maximum exposure, which is not fair to other smaller parties within the eUK who work tirelessly to promote their own parties in fair and honest means. We appreciate any positive feedback you wish to offer or any well wishes you think we deserve. I apologise for this being brief but currently we are working on many things at the moment for the Independent Alliance that will be revealed very soon. Obviously until our first Independent Alliance party conference I am unable to push forward promoting our policies, but rest assured democracy will be in action with regards to the content of our future manifesto’s and articles with policy content.

I know I have already had one correspondence from an officer of a top party already accusing myself and Klurr of PTO’ing a small party to launch this, well I’ll just briefly add a few facts and then I will not comment on the matter any further. The party this used to be was an empty shell with one member, a member who has not been active for months, so how two people can PTO a literally dead party with a completely democratic mandate is something I can not even comprehend. If you look at the previous months party president elections you will see that not one single vote was cast either, yes, we have joined a party and I have candidate myself as PP...and Yes I have begun to make changes to transform a dead party but those changes are not degrading to the party or the eUK.

The Independent Alliance looks forward to working with you all, and in the meantime you can find a great article by our very own Klurr HERE
