A brief guide...

Day 1,918, 05:28 Published in United Kingdom Australia by Send love to Plato

Woooooh hold your horses there, Judging by your level you are new to eRepublik and could do with a little friendly advice...

Firstly welcome to eRepublik on behalf of the Independent Alliance political party. The game will seem daunting at first but with perseverance and not being afraid to ask questions you will soon get into the groove of the experience and enjoy it thoroughly. The following is a very brief introduction to help you.

As a new player you are entitled to free food from the Government in the eUK's NHS scheme which is designed to make your early stages in the game run as smooth as possible. The food comes from donations from members of the public so please do not be afraid to apply as at the beginning of everyone's eRepublik life we all needed a little help. You can apply for the NHS here by filling out this very simple form.

The next best thing you can do is add as many friends as possible, in your home page will be a shout box/ News feed with will feature posts by friends. In here you will find many valuable links to Free food schemes or links to articles that have been written by fellow eRepublik players. Some articles are invaluable, especially ones from Government departments, these are informative and will help you no end. Once you have joined a Military Unit and/or a Political party (see below) you will also have access to their shoutboxes or Newsfeed.

You might also want to consider joining a Military Unit. Military Units are the fighting force of the eUK and you get many benefits from being in one of the eUK's many fighting forces one being listed below, but another is that some Military Units do offer daily supplies to it’s members to encourage more activity on the battlefield. Many Military Units are affiliated to political parties but if this does not appear appealing there are Military Units in the eUK that are neutral., so please do not hesitate to send a private message to commanders of Military Unit with regards to whether they are Independent or simply to ask what supplies they offer. One of the more obvious reasons to fight in eRepublik is that the more fights you complete means more experience points gained, the more experience points you gain means a faster rise through the ranking system. Each time you rank up you receive a refill of your health and more importantly - One gold which can be used towards buying buildings of importance.

The national Government does favour the Legion Military Unit and they are currently ranked number 1 with damage and hits. You can find Legion by clicking this link HERE

There are also other benefits to being in a Military Unit, every day the Captain of your regiment will give you daily orders that are viewable on your homepage, these are to fight in certain battles that are important to your MU and you are asked to kill 25 enemies. Complete this before 8am the next day and you receive an energy bar worth 100 health and a bazooka. Bazooka's can only be used when you reach a certain level but do not worry as you will collect many bazooka parts on the battlefield as well and when you finally unlock them you will be sitting on a healthy arsenal of your own. Each bazooka does three hits, each hit does 10,000 damage. At the start your damage will just be in the lower hundreds so you can imagine how much enjoyment you will get when you eventually do get your hands on your bazookas, which in turn will lead to battle hero medals.

Battle Hero medals are what you are awarded when you do the most damage above everyone else in a particular battle, as a new player you will be placed in division One but that does not mean that your damage will not be vitally important on the battlefield. Every Battle Hero brings the reward of gold, each division has a different reward level and every division is pre-set to a certain level so don’t worry about finding yourself in a higher division before you are ready.

You also have the option to join a political party, and there are again many in the eUK, obviously the game is limited so real life beliefs do not really play much of a part in eRepublik. The aims of the Independent Alliance for example are to be more than a party and more of a family where we offer help and advice to all players. Do not be worried about making mistakes or asking question you may feel we will think as 'stupid' because we were all new players once and remember just how daunting it can seem without the right help.

In eRepublik we don’t have a parliament but a Congress but the idea is just the same where congressmen are elected to debate and pass laws that influence the running of our country. Each party ranked in the top five political parties gets the opportunity to field candidates in the election held on the 25th of each month. Many of the top five parties have a great reputation in helping parties outside the top five run for Congress as they feel that the eUK is more than a country but a community, and that is what we believe a community should do. So just before the congress elections candidates from the smaller parties will temporarily join the bigger parties until after the elections where they will return as Congress members.

The Independent Alliance family can be found HERE and you will be made more than welcome if you choose to allow us the honour of having you as a member.

Well sorry this brief introduction has been so long, we hope you don't feel too daunted because you will soon pick up on the workings of the game. Feel free to contact us at the Independent Alliance for any advice or help because we would be more than willing to help you in any way we can, because whether you are into the political side of the game or just here to fight we will support you.
