2/2018 Division 2 coming up

Day 3,701, 08:50 Published in Finland Netherlands by nutty fox

The time for divisional change is getting ever so near. Because of the upgrade from division 1, as a foot soldier, I will now need to find the best option of a light armored vehicle.

Since I don’t have the “muscle” or strength, I need to focus on speed and specialized options. Luckily we don’t have mines or IE😨s (improvised explosive devices) over here to worry about.

Lets see the candidates.

#1 EAGLE 4x4 by General Dynamics

This sounds really good, “Today´s combat operations demand higher level of survivalibity and capacity then previously provided by light tactical vehicles”

“This next-generation EAGLE retains the key features of the existing in-service EAGLE that has made it the preferred light tactical vehicle of Europe’s most demanding customers. These features include low signature and mass, high reliability in all environments and outstanding off-road. The new EAGLE retains its capability to be air transportable via helicopters such as the CH-47 Chinook.”

Luckily I have invested in one earlier, because of the mining operation!

Also the size matters, since no need to carry a bunch of mercenaries or other army fellows with you. Well black OPS are a totally different story and wont get into those in this article.

Internal seating can be adjusted for 4, 5 or 6 crew. Also comes with comprehensive communications and electronic systems inside (no Discord or such).
I am pretty sure this could be a great vehicle for smuggling (you know what). Has a capacity of 3,000kg payload!!!

Offroad capability is a must in the harsh terrains of Lapland and Alaska. Even the non existing roads in Russia wont be a problem.

#2 Ocelot Foxhound LPPV

Well the name of this is brilliant so that sure is a bonus. The negative side is the ugliness of it.

Crew capacity of 2 and a payload of 2,000kg.

Gonna pass on this one, since I think it works better in desert conditions?

#3 IVECO Light Multirole Vehicle

“The vehicle is capable of performing a range of duties from patrolling and escorting to commanding and liaisons. It can also be used in casualty evacuation operations.”
I wonder if it comes with a nice nurse attached to the crew members?

Capacity of 2+3 crew and a payload of 1,2tons. Can be fitted with air-defence missiles, well this sounds seriously interesting.

This is a serious contender to the EAGLE 4x4 but no mention of the transportation option with the Chinook.

#4 Supacat Protected Vehicle (SPV) 400

This would be the perfect option to transport (you still know what) goods of importance.

Not the best option on the battlefield in my opinion, but perfect option to transport (you still know what) goods of importance in various terrains. Also looks from a distance like an “ordinary” truck and most likely wont be creating too much of interest by the locals, where ever it goes.

Payload of 1,500kg and max crew of 6.

Night driving equipment and situational awareness systems, nice!

It also has a great mobility, and that is a must.

There are obviously a bunch of others on the market but wont bore you to death with an overly long article.

If you have any good suggestions, please comment and I will check out the vehicles.

This one was actually the only intended piece for 2018 that was planned. The next issue will contain who knows what?
- Maybe an update what goes on at the mining/distillery site?
- Missing bridesmades held in a secret location in Moldovia?
