By now all of you, WeThePeople or not, have been shown the faces of your Congress hopefuls for the upcoming, Christmas Election. eAmerica does well at creating good candidates, largely due to the sheer amount of spots to fill. When we had 10,000 players, we created “good” Congressmen.

When we had 8,000 players, we created “good” Congressmen.

And now when we have 4,800 players, we continue to settle on “good” Congressmen.

I enjoy the bragging that goes on by certain Congressmen at this time of year. They say that OH!, I CHECKED EVERY THREAD AND VOTED! IS THAT NOT WONDERFUL?

Well, better than some bud.

Or, even,

OH, I WAS A FORMER DIRECTOR OF EVERYTHING ONCE UPON A TIME.

Okay. That’s nice too. For some of you, that might even put you as a bit more than good in my books.

Even better is,

OH, LOOK, I’M FUN AND NEWBY. I EVEN HAVE FANCY GRAPHICS! LOLOLO

I like new blood, sure. New blood is “good”. But the idea that because its inexperienced it’ll, SOMEHOW, not fall in line with the “good” status quo...heh. Tough luck convincing me on that one.

We, as a group, are in a decline and yet we continue to settle on “good”. I dare any of you to show me one new idea, one interesting thought you found this Congress Season other than promises to suck off the Exec for their holding formation plan and read the threads.

Good is not enough, anymore.

This is especially true in the halls of my own party, WeThePeople. WTP, when I first did my PP gig it was wonderful. You were all active in the elections, you all did the shouting thing, I constantly got new members and newbs to teach.

But now? We're still a brilliant party. Neverless, it just isn't the same.

Many allow the Leadership to define “successes” for them. They allow themselves to become "digits", deciding to not vote, not participate in the forums or go on IRC.

Essentially, large swathes of our party brethren have made themselves as pawns. Many have sacrificed power, maybe unknowinly, unto whoever feels like being forced into the PP chair that month. Large parts of the party allow the Leadership to stagnate, power to remain in the hands of the few (myself in that few) and our party to remain below our natural #2 spot. And by further consequence to the base inactivity, our leaders are naturally not what they could be. Our party is still wonderfully chocked full of hard working people, giving us great results and raising new people into the Leadership every week. But, the apathy is there and it's strong.

As a group, Congressmen nation wide have proven to not want the average player to be involved. Few leaders you elected to Congress attempt to get you, as a partier, actively involved in the goings on of the Nation. Few seek your input. Fewer still care about the reputation of our party. Not by their own fault, of course. It's just that's what the Majority expects.

I myself am in the proud Minority of active, committed Congressmen. People like myself struggle under the layers of inadequacy that Congress is associated with. This is an organization that dares tell you it takes some extreme form of effort and intelligence to be a member, yet does not come close to this godly feat.

The only way to solve the inadequacy demonstrated by the average Congressman is to challenge the norm that has been established.

I am a proud member of the Minority. With your help, I intend to take the Majority.

This month I do not seek to simply win Congress Primaries. I aim to crush them

My goal?

260 votes.

That is the entire amount of votes cast last election. That is the majority. That is what we will be achieving, as testament to the fact that YOU no longer settle for the inadequacy and “good” ness that is shoved unto you.

My passion aside, the platform I have is quite simple.
