Hello WTPers,

Here's another edition of the WTP Newsletter. My media presence has been lacking a fair bit, so for the final days of the term I'll be trying to get some more articles in. Needless to say, I'll be "Hale|Away" more often than not on IRC if I want to hit this goal xD
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this week's rainbow-filled update.

OPERATION RAINBOW DOCZ

As I mentioned in my previous article, one of the major ongoing works for this term was "Operation Rainbow Docs". When I started Op-RD, or at least conceived of it, I was expecting results sooner than this. Needless to say, a rushed congressionals and a tough Presidentials took up a lot of focus.

Regardless, massive progress has been made. The goal of OP-RD is to build a functioning Cabinet for WTP. Enlisting respondents of our latest "Party Talent Drive " a few weeks back, I compiled a list of members willing to help out. Using this list I've assigned almost everyone a job and place in the WTP Cabinet.

That was stage 1 of OP-RD; Talent gathering. At present, we've just finished Stage 2 of OP-RD; Gdoc building. Naturally, Talent needs something to work with. So as to create a more...structured way of doing things, I spent the past few days making Google Documents and outlines for each Department. Without further ado, here is what the team will be working with....

While this took a looonnng time to get out, I'm happy to see WTP has moved on from the old days of Internal Affairs.
Goodbye Super Depts; Hello Progress

Moving onto our next segment (which really should've been out ages ago), Bill 1 has passed by a landslide. Now, most of you have probably forgotten Bill 1.
Here's a quick refresher

I'm happy to see every Act passed by at least 66%,as shown by the voting records here. Already Bill 1 has begun to be implemented into the way WTP runs itself. This month already, Act 5 was enforced onto our cacaus with massive success.

This leads us to a common "legal" another concern I must adress. See, whenever anyone passes a fancy law with nice wording in this game, it becomes hellish to manage. People start debating words, too many laws get made, you need to read 10 lines for 1 point...etc.
To avoid this, I've posted a TLDR version of each Act for Bill 1 on the forums. Underneath each Act I'll post a weekly update on how the Act is being applied to the party. Hopefully, summarizing this Bill will avoid a legal mess down the road.

Next item on the agenda, WTP's Debate Club is now up and running. Naturally, being WTP, we like to debate all sides of an argument. Debating is a skill that, when learned correctly, greatly helps you both ingame and in real life. Being someone who enjoys debating in real life, I was pysched when Emerick made Debate Club a reality.

On the topic of Em's Debate, I'd like to mention that the T4 PPs and many 6th partiers have begun planning ways to restructure Unity. Currently we are debating a proposal made by our awesome VPP, Talostastic. We're still early into the talks, so support is varying for his proposal. Once stuff gets settled and some more debates are done, I'm sure we'll see more conclusive results from the commission.


Naturally, our results will be much better than this.
