Congressional Update
EdgarFigaro

After tax discussion took a long leave of absence from Congress, it was recently reignited by Sir Valaro Volcrum. The discussion began with his proposition to lower the working tax rate to 1%, which was met with swift opposition from dmjohnston; with discussion mostly centering around eUS producers’ ability to turn a profit with the current work tax rate. Discussion is still underway and can be found below.
Discussion

Largely, debate over the last week has centered around Wooky Jack’s newly proposed ‘Homeland Savings Account’, which would impact the monthly budget. The proposed idea centers around a fund set aside in case of depleted reserves or an attack on the eUS. Discussion over the proposition has brought up debate over the effect it would have on taxes and the effect that it will have on the country’s reserves. The bill was brought to a proposal (below), was approved, and will soon move to a vote.

Let's take a look at what our allies are up to in today's edition of:

As Erepublik Turns

Canada attacked the United States of America...whoops. The US secured the first battle and is winning easily in New Brunswick. The interesting note here is Canada's MPP stack. It consists of only three: Australia, Serbia, and Hungary. I wonder if the US can or will ever MPP Serbia? Considering that the MPP with Hungary did not work out, I'd put money on the Serbian MPP being a long shot at best.

It appears that Mexico attacked Argentina, who easily secured. Argentina has now won two battles and is winning easily in NE of Mexico. This has only one enevitable ending. Sorry, Mexibro, you guys really need to switch sides.

Finland, Latvia, and Estonia appear to be in an endless training war. I hope you are all three enjoying yourselves. Belarus attacked Russia and lost immediately. This has happened so much recently that I'd call it a training war too. Russia secured and has now won two battles. They are about to attack. Have fun. Croatia and Slovenia have engaged in a new war. With the one-sidedness of the current battle in Istria and Kvarner, I'd guess this is another training war. Let's see how it goes.

Greece is enjoying their war with Germany, having won seven battles in a row. They are easily winning the next battle while Sweden wages war on another front with Germany. Sweden has won the first three battles and looks to win in Nordjylland. Germany is down to four regions. I wonder if they will get to have a Congress this month?

Our friends in Argentina joined the campaign against Spain. Argentina has won the first two battles and is about to attack. I don't see them having much of an issue winning over and over again. Spain stands at ten regions, so we shall see if they can hold up. The United States of America is continuing her campaign against Spain. The US has currently won seven out of the eight battles, however, Spain has stood up in Auvergne. I'd wager that is just a consequence of the time advantage. The US is entering her prime-time, so the battle should swing over tonight. Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion.

Stay classy, and keep shakin that ASS, eMurica!

Sincerely, Your Media Team:
