Peace in Canada- So Far, Yet So Close.
America has cancelled it's declaration of war on Canada today, following a 9 day conflict with the Canukistanian people. This was in light of 2 prominent military leaders stating that they will no longer have their units fight for America in the war, many Americans rebelling against the administration, and the president's NSC chairman being fired. (Wholly because he started the war by bribing Code-Y.)
Though peace appears to be at hand, not all is as it seems. During the time when the "No Natural Enemy" proposal was being voted up, Rylde (Canada's CP) called for a trading embargo on America. Since a super-majority isn't needed for an embargo, it seems as if this measure will pass. (16-11)
To make matters worse, the territory of Manitoba was supposed to be handed over days ago to the Canadians. However, despite orders to not fight for the U.S, America still won Manitoba.
Point is- Achieving peace won't be as easy as America expected.


Lithuania Declares War on Russia
As predicted yesterday, Lithuania has declared war on Mother Russia. Lithuanian soldiers launched their first assault shortly after the NE passed, crossing the border into Kaliningrad.
This declaration of war was launched in response to Russia's counter invasion of Latvia, one of Lithuania's close allies.
Russia is currently winning the battle for Kaliningrad 68-20.


Bulgaria Declares War on Ukraine
*GASP* Bulgaria isn't fighting Turkey today !?!?
Bulgaria has declared war on the Ukraine recently, in response to the Ukraine's invasion of Moscow.Which was a direct response to Russia invading Latvia, which was a response to the Latvian attack on Russia.
Though the Ukrainian attack was repulsed, Bulgaria still took offense to the invasion of their ally Russia.
This conflict (Which we will dub, "The Muscovian War") is quickly becoming a center of interest for the world. This is mostly due to the fact that a Pro-ONE nation is helping defend a TEDEN nation from yet another TEDEN nation who was defending a PRO-ONE nation against previous TEDEN nation's counter attack on said PRO-ONE nation.
Let me simplify it..
Latvia (PRO-ONE) attacks Russia. Russia (TEDEN)counter-attacks Latvia. Ukraine (TEDEN) attacks Russia. Bulgaria (PRO-ONE) attacks the Ukraine.
Shows how screwed up the alliances are these days, eh ?

Ukraine Defeated in Moscow
As mentioned in the previous heading, Ukrainian forces have been defeated in Moscow. I believe yesterday's edition sums up why the Ukraine declared war on Russia, so please check there for a more in-depth analysis of why the Ukraine declared war.


Moldova Declares War on Ukraine
Another player will be entering the Muscovian war today, with Moldova supporting Russia by declaring war on the Ukraine.
War between these 2 nations isn't un-heard of, and was in fact near constant a few weeks ago. Alas, EDEN HQ's peace agreement has not lasted very long at all, with Moldova jumping at the chance of fighting their old enemy again.
Though Moldova isn't a very strong nation, we can expect much international attention to be drawn by this action. This is due to the fact that the leader of EDEN's HQ promised that EDEN would fight against Moldova if they attacked the Ukraine again.
That being said, Moldova and Romania have close IRL links. With Romania being a key country in EDEN, the HQ will come under alot of critique if the "punish" Moldova.


Greece defends Montenegrin Coast, attacks East Sprska Republic.
Greece successfully defended the Montenegrin coast yesterday, successfully winning their first battle against Serbia in the main-land Balkans.
Greece is now attacking the Serbian territory of East Sprska Republic, winning the battle 67-32. For those who do not remember, this territory was RW'd by Bosnia multiple times over the last few weeks. Meaning that Bosnia will indeed be pleased if Greece does win the battle.
In other news, Montenegrin rebels are trying to liberate the territory of Montenegrin coast from Greece today. They are losing the battle 72-38.
Montenegro has yet to declare war on Greece.

**PLEASE NOTE- We made a mistake yesterday concerning the RW in Slavonia. If Slavonia is liberated (Which it was) Serbia would still have access to it's 3 food bonuses in Croatia VIA East Sprska Republic. Thank you to Black Sun for pointing the error out.

Bosnia Declares War on Serbia, Liberates Central Croatia
Bosnia has declared war on Serbia recently, with their forces going on to liberate the originally-Croatian territory of Central Croatia.
We can expect yet another Bosnian attack on Serbia within coming hours.


Croatia to Declare War on Serbia, Slavonia Freed.
Following Croatia's successful RW in Slavonia, Croatia's government is proposing a declaration of war against Serbia. This declaration will most likely pass, with the vote standing at 33-1 in favor.
In other news, Croatian forces launched a RW in North West Croatia. They were defeated.


Er..sorry bout that mate. Spain Overkills Land Swap.
In a previous article we discussed the landswap between Spain and Venezuela. What we didn't know was that Spain was going to completely over-kill the land swap, and accidentally take 2 territories that they weren't supposed to take.
By doing this, Spain took away both of Venezuela's grain regions, greatly hurting their economy.
Spain is currently attacking Central Western Venezuela, winning the battle 63-3.
Though these 2 nation's are still allies, I don't think anyone will want to do a landswap with Spain anytime soon.


Argentine Empire Re-Captures Zona Central, Attacks Zona Sur.
Argentina has successfully fought off Chile in Norte Grande yesterday, while retaking the strategic 40% food bonus region of Zona Central.
Argentina is now going on to attack Chile's capital of Zona Sur, where this revolt against Argentine rule started.
Argentina is currently winning the battle 18-4


Arab Rebels Defeated- Cyprus Re-Captures colonies.
The second great Arab revolt (that we've reported) have been defeated today, with Saudi forces losing the region of Ha'il. Cyprus now has all of their old colonies under control, though there is still 1 revolt taking place in the choke-point region of Sinai.
Cyprus is currently winning the battle 33-11.


Italy- Reunited, At Last.
Now that the Liguria deal has finally been acted upon, Italy's capital is once again connected the south of Italy.
This will allow Italy to receive the bonuses that Southern Italy supplies, adding a 30% boost to Italy's economy.


Germany Defeated in North West of England.
Germany has been defeated in the North West of England today, losing yet another weapon's bonus in England. This comes in the wake of a Polish invasion of formerly French-Occupied Southern England.
Now that England only has 1 enemy to worry about, Germany is coming under increased stress.
In other news, England has attacked North East of England and are losing the battle 57-51. If successfully liberated, England will be firmly in ONE hands again. However, England will not be able to invade mainland Germany anytime soon, due to a Danish RW that has "liberated' Midtjylland. In other words- Germany's just using their merger with Denmark to block out a Brit invasion of their homeland.


Latvian rebels liberate Latgale.
Latvia's back on the map today, with their forces successfully liberating the territory of Latgale from Russian control. Latvia is currently attempting to liberate Zemgale.
Latvia is winning this battle 10-1.


Finland successfully captures Kirde-Eesti
Finland has successfully captured Kirde-Eesti today, adding yet another territory to their collection as they prepare for a full-scale wipe of Estonia.
This territory will give Finland a 20% weapons bonus.


Portugal attacks Madeira, Norte.
Portugal has attacked the territories of Madeira and Norte today, in a so-far successful bid to reclaim their homeland.
Portugal is winning the battle for Madeira 31-13, and is tied for Norte 11-11.


Venezuela Ends War With Venezuela
Venezuela has signed a peace treaty with Venezuela today, following months of utter carnage in the nation. This war apparently started without anyone noticing, meaning that Venezuela and Venezuela were left to battle it out alone without any outside assistance.
Personally, I'm sorry that we did not report this war. Though we would love to spam you with pics of the territories that changed hands (You know..our usual article), it seems that Plato accidentally colored Venezuela and Venezuela the same shade of pink.
Therefore, it is impossible to tell how many territories changed hands, and how many bonuses were lost.
But at the end of the day, both nations are just happy that this useless war has ended, and are looking forward to a new era of peace and co-operation.
