[VP] Ask your president: Answers #1

Day 2,632, 13:17 Published in Belgium Romania by eBe Raw

Dear Citizens of eBelgium,

In the previous "Ask your president" article the principle of this program was explained. Unfortunately only one person used the form properly fortunately this person turned out to be a real question-cannon who gave Tommot some homework. Here come the questions all of them are answered by Tommot personally!

What is your daily routine as a Country President and what are some lesser known sides to the job of President you think people should take into account?

I am not qualified to say without a doubt what the routine is of a CP, but I'll try to explain some stuff I did in a day. First thing I do is check out all messages in the following order: communications from other nations, my internal government messages, the rest are more personal or party stuff. After that I check out the eBelgium forum(link to forum) to see what's happening there.

Another matter that you should be prepared for is that you and your MoFA team communicate properly when distributing the congratulation-messages to other countries. These messages are usually the first opening-line for further communication between each other.

Now that you have a global overview of what it entails to be CP, what do you think are the fundamental traits/forces a candidate should have in order to make a good CP? Which personalities in eBe do you think would fit best into that role?

This is my personal view on the subject and I know not everyone think the same about it. Be resolute! You can doubt in the beginning of a decision to be made, but once you made a choice, let all see that it is what you wanted. If you are in doubt for too long it will reflect on your staff and you government come to a halt. If that is something you know you can't do easily, then go trough it in a funny way. A little bit of trolling, a joke here and there, but still with some respect.

How does randomized resource swap change your approach to international relations and strategy?

To me it did not change much as we tried to make sure that we did not have any resource that could form a target for other nations. Our relations on international level has changed little, in fact we gained a new friend.

In your opinion, is there any chance eBelgium will have an active community once again in the future?

One of my less successful to-do things. I hoped to increase some activity, but instead half of political scene dropped dead as if they all suddenly stopped playing. This has, for a part, made our country less active. Despite all this i still would try to get activity back into our community(after i recovered from my accident).

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy playing eRepublik at present and how does being President affect that score?

Before being CP i would say an 8. But during and now at the end i would give it a 7.

If you could make one little eWish to make a subtle change in eBe in order to make it a better place, what would it be?

A willingness to work together and set your differences aside. All together we can make it work.

How do you think your term and your prestation as CP will be remembered? How would you want it to be remembered?

How i would want it? That i made good changes, but nah... that wouldn't be the case nor do i ever expect it. I don't really have any expectations on that note. I'm just happy i did something, whether it will be a good thing or not, time will tell.

So far, what is the achievement as CP that you are the most proud of? Which government member did the most outstanding job according to you?

That i am proud of? We made friends with cuba which on turn had an effect on the UK who made friends with Cuba. I don't take all credit for this, it was a fellow party member that first came up with it and shortly after that we talked with the Cuban CP...etc

Who i salute for their job well done is the education department. I would also take note of anyone who filled in the gaps while i was unable to be there.

That sums up this edition of ask your president! A big thanks to Chihiroh for taking the time to come up with so many questions. I hope that next time we will have a bigger panel of people asking questions because I think there are many up there who would like to know something from their President or government.

A salute to you from your vice president,
