Hello and welcome to this, the latest edition of UK Today.

Today we have three important pieces of news for you, in addition to an update and message from our new CP, Daeres.

In the news today:

First up, remember our guide to the eUK Forums recently? Well, it may well be out of date soon!

This LINK details plans to alter the setup of our forums, to cater not just to players of eRepublik, but also of other games , in the hope that these players will be recruited to help us here too.

Finally, we have some great news to report to you. In our ongoing war with Canada, we have so far been on the back foot, with them successfully attacking London last week, and taking several of our regions.

This is about to change. Our ally, Sweden, is preparing even now to mobalise against Canada, changing the dynamics of this war, which at points has seen three countries attacking us, to having the Ireland war closed and both us and Sweden concentrating on Canada.

This is a very good thing for us- it means we can start to push back on Canada, who, as you might have realised when we lost London, are a threat to us.

On the other hand, we will be closing our Ireland war. This, also is good, as it means one less front for us to deal with, and allows us to go back for Ireland at a later date. They are insignificant, Canada is currently the only country to threaten our safety.

Please stay tuned for more information on this, and remember to check orders before fighting!

THE CP's UPDATE:

[from Daeres when he took office🙂

I'd like to thank Kevy for all that he's done for the past 3 weeks. I know him to be an intelligent, honourable man, and I have no doubt that had luck been on his side he would have been an excellent CP this month. Whilst I am glad of the confidence i've been given, at the same time I do not celebrate the cirumstances under which all of this has happened.

Cabinet

Thatcher has for some time been considering leaving the UK, and today he indeed chose to do so. I'd like to thank him for all that he's done for the UK in his time here, being one of the longest serving and most committed ministers we've ever had in the UK.
Replacing him as MoFA alongside Temujin94 will be HRH King Woldy I, who I look forward to snuggling working with constantly over the next few days.

I will be unpopular for a second; for all that Kdogg is terrible at communicating with other people, he has genuinely been wanting to help those under his command so far this month. Nonetheless, wanting is not the same thing as achieving, and I feel that it is time to bring in people outside of Command to help to rebuild the UK's military organisation. Kdogg's continued presence is required to solve some lingering issues, but by 6pm tomorrow he will no longer be Minister of Defence.
Replacing him will be Dishmcds and Frerk as joint MoDs, with Metalmickey and Tom Morgan as deputies to assist the ongoing process of reform.

All other current ministers are remaining exactly where they are right now.
