[UKGov]UK Today - Day 1,229

Day 1,229, 10:07 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office
Hello, and welcome to the 6th edition of UK Today :3 Take a seat and put your feet up

I've been told to tell you, we are at war with Belgium.

Now anyway, you may be aware that the war module has changed yet again, so we'll take some time out of our usual publishing to help explain it to you 😃

So here it is:

So what's changed?

Well according to the admins:

At every minute, the side which controls the domination bar (over 50😵 will win points based on the following criterion:

- in the first 30 minutes of the battle, 10 points at every minute;
- in the time frame 31 - 60 minutes into the battle, 20 points at every minute;
- 61-90 minutes into the battle; 30 points at every minute;
- in the last 30 minutes of the battle, 60 points at every minute.

But what does this mean?

Well I'll tell you, and thanks for keeping up.

For those of you who enjoy a good game of Call of Duty around the family fire, you should be all too aware of the game mode Domination. In Domination, you get points for having captured more areas than the opposition who in turn can capture areas back.

eRepublik, on the other hand, adds another twist in. Where as you get points for every minute you're side has over 50% of the influence, you get more points the later it is into the battle. Like it says above, you get 10 points a minute for the first 30 minutes, 20 points for the next 31-60 minutes etc. This means tactics will have to adapt, as before it was a case of "Have the most influence at the end of the battle", it's now "Get the most points during the battle" meaning tactics will have to be geared more towards releasing a steady stream of damage, rather than releasing it all at once.

You can make your own judgements over if it's a good idea or not, but it shall be interesting to see how large wars happen now.
