Day 1,175, 14:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

This is a public service announcement from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Don’t forget to vote and subscribe. We need your votes!

Another month...another government. This inevitably means that we’ll be seeing new ministers and they’ll have positions within their ministry to fill. Getting involved within ministries is a great way to help the cause and also develops your experience. Whether you are new to the erepublik world or amongst the most experience be assured that there is always a job to be done! Below I’ve written a brief description of each ministry and their roles. However to view the actual apps that each minister is taking please view the forum thread located here.

Ministry of Home Affairs + Culture – McAfee01 and Sir Humphrey Appleby

The Ministry of Home Affairs is the biggest ministry in the UK. It deals with a number of things including entertainment which includes fun forum games with prizes, media which includes the National newspaper association that reviews the best articles of the week. and the buddy scheme which helps new players who request help. They also run things such as the gifting scheme and often write articles in game on this newspaper to help a new citizen in their first few days. This ministry also keeps the UK wiki up to day as an additional task to make sure that citizens have another guide to follow when they take an interest in this game.

Ministry of Recruitment – Devillefort

The idea of the Ministry of Recruitment is to ultimately create a baby boom for the eUK. By doing this, people brainstorm ideas as to how to get word about the eUK around the real world and the Internet. This month it’s going to be no nonsense and they’ll be getting straight into recruiting. You don't go around your neighbourhood asking people to join, but if you have an idea that could help bring people here, join this ministry.

Ministry of Technology – Darkmantle

The Ministry of Technology creates new ways to make gathering information and improving hubs that benefit the eUK as a whole. The Ministry always accepts new apprentices with some knowledge of PHP/JS/XML (any of them) to help code the many projects that are lined up.

Ministry of Finance – Thatcher

The Ministry of Thatc-Finance monitors the country’s income through taxes and sets budgets and spends the income accordingly. The MoF also helps regulate the Monetary Market to a degree and usually does quite well at it unless someone decides to change the economic module..

Ministry of Trade – Vacant.

The Minister of Trades role in government is to write reports on the state of the UK market as a whole. This is quite an important ministry at the moment due to the never ending changes in the economic module. The Ministry of Trade is the place to go if you like monitoring prices and making graphs and keeping updated on how well GBP is doing (as many aspiring company owners will want to know)
Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Keram10

If you have been reading the media for the last few months; you will have noticed we’re currently not officially in an alliance anymore. The MoFAs role is to keep good diplomatic relations with countries and also write up reports on the wars around the world whilst also help develop discussions with the major super alliances. If you would like to officially represent the UK as a diplomat to another area of the world then this is the Ministry to apply to!

Ministry of Defence – Artela

The MoD controls our country's military. This month, communication is important in this ministry, as they will be making sure both our army and the two-clicker population recieves orders and information on battles ASAP. Also, improved coordiniation between the MoD and the militias are needed so our country as a whole can be as efficient on the battlefield as possible.
