[UKGov]Home Affairs Mentoring & Tournament Week Opens Sunday!

Day 1,360, 15:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

Hello there eUK!

Mentoring is kicking off again this month and is getting straight into the swing of things! Anyone in the eUK is eligable to get a mentor regardless of age. All you have to do is PM our Lead Minotaur Top Hat Harry.

Pictured. A minotaur.

If you'd rather PM him on the forums you can, all he asks in return is that you include your citizen's profile links in forum PMs 🙂

If you need help but are not in need of a constant mentor, please feel free to join #HomeAffairs on IRC, on Rizon - and an unstructured mentor will freely answer any questions you have!

The What

This month, we'll be doing a few things a bit differently than we have in past months. While we've done Supremacy before, we wanted to do something of a change of pace, so you could enjoy yourself at something other than Erepublik while still hanging out with the awesome eUK Community! We'll be running a total of 5 tournaments this month, through various websites (some listed below).

The first four Tournaments will be free-for-all, with prizes. You must be a UK Citizen to enter of course, but other than that, you can come join in at your leisure. The Final Tournament will be a Poker Tournament, which the top 3 finishers from the first four tournaments will be given a table. If you are not in the top 3 for the other tournaments, a buy-in of 2,000 GBP will be offered if you want to partake.

There will be only one winner for the Final Tournament, and he will be crowned Tournament Champion of the eUK.

The Games

There's alot of available games, for the most part I thought http://uk.games.yahoo.com/ would be a pretty nice place to host most of the games. But there are some games that will probably not be held there, such as poker. The games work as each tournament is one game. And all the participants play that specific game against eachother, of course, until there is a winner found. Then the winner of each tournament goes to the final poker game. Here's some games we could play:

Checkers
Chess
Dominos
Pool
Darts
Poker (Final Tournament)

Which games will be played will be announced in a Forum thread the Friday before the Tournaments, which will be held every Sunday at 8 PM BST.

The Final Tournament will be held on Monday, September 5th, on Election day.

The Rewards

For the smaller tourneys, it's been decided to have a 1,000 GBP prize per winner.

For the final Tournament of winners, the winner will receive 5,000 GBP.

Keep watch over the Games forum, and you'll find out exact details of each Tournament as the entry period opens. We hope to see you all there!

Make sure you join the official UK forums!
