[TWO] New ACT member, TMC and TFAD!

Awesome citizens of the eWorld,

We indicated in our previous article we were going to announce the location of TWO’s army (TMC) today, together with our official avatars. We have also got many things to talk about apart from this, but we do not want you to get too excited... yet.

So, the privileged country chosen to possess TMC is:





SPAIN!

If you thought Poland or Serbia was going to be the chosen country, well, as you can see you were completely wrong.

Spain has shown several times its predisposition to help TWO when necessary. This just reminds me when they without any doubt helped the United Kingdom against Canada and Argentina. These types of acts is something we value a great deal.

Moreover, because of Spanish representatives in the HQ, our alliance, TWO, has enjoyed good progress and huge steps have been taken in order to improve our alliance’s general welfare. We would not be here without the support of the Spanish citizenry, via their respective CPs, provided during these last few months.

Spain is the perfect country for TMC to be established in. Its location is perfect: it is Europe’s main entrance; the best place for our soldiers to meet and have some fun. Most of their citizens are quite active, and their English level is pretty good. Furthermore, it will give South Americans the opportunity of understanding what is going on in the press.

In addition, Spanish is spoken worldwide. It is beautiful, so this might be the opportunity you were waiting for to learn some! We all know Spaniards tend to be quite friendly and we are sure we will all feel comfortable. The fact that they had 100% of bonus has been quite important too. Although they do not have 100% bonus at the moment, we -the SoFA team- have been working really hard for Spain to recover its bonuses.

The Spanish government has tried to do so by their own by taking advantage of Portugal’s intervention and help, but they did not succeed. We already had prepared a treaty so that Spain could get its bonus back some days ago, but as Spain signed a NAP with Portugal in which it was clearly stated Portugal would manage to get Guayana, we did not interfere. Anyway, do not mind, cause with a little bit of luck and organisation you will be able to carry the day! Spain, you, together with the rest of the TWO nations will always be in our mind!

In TWO we care about every single country, and this is just another clear example of how different we are in comparison to other alliances. We expect to continue our good relations with our beloved Spaniards and with every single TWO and ACT citizen.

Spain, you will never be alone!

It is the time to announce our brand new ACT member! And the lucky country that has been accepted in our brilliant community is:



Exactly! Colombia.

As it is reflected in our charter:

‘’Campaigns with low possibility of ending in our favour or wars unlikely to be closed at all are to be avoided ‘’

We considered Colombia’s case to be a perfect example of what we should avoid. Its endless wars against Venezuela were quite boring and they did not lead to anything. We therefore tried to find a proper solution to this case.

We asked TWO representatives about it, and they all accepted Colombia in ACT. Even though we were on opposite sides not so long ago, it has been demonstrated Colombia is a country we can rely on. They do not care about their position, if they are being wiped or not; they will continue to be loyal to their friends.

TWO will always be there in order to help and stop endless wars, such as the ones Colombia has been suffering these months. Their relations with Venezuela are fine right now, and we will continue to focus on dialogue in this matter.

I feel I must mention their entrance in our family has been influenced by certain event. We will give details of such in some hours.

The SoFA team does not stop working!

As we are a still relatively young alliance, we could do with closer working relationships. That is the reason why the SoFA team, in cooperation with Mittekemuis, has decided to create this cool and new department: the TWO’s Foreign Affairs Department (TFAD)

The aim of this is to settle the bases of a continuous working plan whose objective is to reach a point of equal trust between our countries, as we consider that trying to know each other better is the best way to create respect and trust. Communication is still the best way to make relations closer.

The department will be overseen by the SoFA appointed for that month. The SoFA will be able to instruct things from within TWO HQ. Mittekemuis -who was of vital importance for this project to get started- and I (Mininuns) will be coordinating things, trying to look all bossy 🙂

Our job will consist of supervising a kind of rotation system in which representatives from every TWO countries will be involved. After the initial release of the program we will be looking to extend this to ACT countries too.

These representatives will make up a team which would contain of 1 representative of each core member of TWO (and then ACT). The idea is that they rotate into the different countries. So, for example, Polish representative goes to the UK while the UK representative goes to Serbia, and so on.

This is a job for people who do not mind putting in effort, a long term engagement, as the idea is to keep their work for several months.

These people will be carefully chosen as they represent their country and they must be willing to move to other nations. Each representative must be irc active and have at least a basic knowledge of English as it is by far the most common language used in Erepublik.
We will announce the name of these people soon!

Examples of what you can expect from TFA😨

- TFAD representatives will be recognisable by their avatar ingame.
- They will be writing articles about their country of origin and they will then publish it in their guest country.
- The biggest task will be to make relations closer between people of TWO and ACT
- They will be active and available on the irc channels so that they can answer questions about their countries.
- We may see them organising social events on irc/ingame according to their creativity and demands.
- And more!

1. It's your first month as Supreme Commander, how do you think it has gone this month?

To start with, it feels a lot different to my time as ONE Military Commander. I was ONE MC during and after Terra and EDEN were dominating but TWO being in a position of power compared to weakness has presented a few challenges that I set myself against this month. Overall, I think it has gone very well. The formation of the TWO Mobile Corps was achieved as I had planned at the start of the month and several other plans were accomplished.

2. Recently we've seen a lot of movement in both TWO and CoT including Russia joining CoT. What's your opinion on the recent changes to the alliance landscape?

If I were to be completely honest, I'm actually glad it's heating up. The game has been stagnating for months. Right now we're seeing diplomatic fun in place. In a month's time, the real fun will begin. At the end of the day, it is a game. I'm pleased we've finally distanced ourselves from CoT though.

3. This month you've had a lot to do with TWO MC, the alliance military unit, how successful do you think that's been?

It's still in the process of being launched so I'd have to get back to you on that. 😛

4. Overall, how do you think the month has gone for TWO?

Pretty well. This hasn't been a month focused primarily on military feats, it's more or less been one focused on diplomatic feats.

However, I am quite pleased with how some of our ACT members have been performing in particular. Estonia was able to wipe Finland off the map for congress, alongside help from their neighbours. Montenegro was able to set up camp in South-east Asia. In addition, Poland's ability to conquer and retain the Turkish goldmine for its entirety was also quite successful and will help in the long-term. The UK - my country of origin - was the only TWO nation to be wiped this month but after intervention from Poland, Argentina were swiftly removed and the UK is back to conquering Ireland. Spain had the ability to keep Canada down as well, successfully.

However, I will concede that we had a pretty bad day earlier this month with regards to RWs.

5. TWO as an alliance is the successor to the alliance ONE. What do you think the future of TWO will be?

The same as the other alliances we've had. It'll be around until it needs reforming. We don't keep a stagnating organisation together for 3 years because we don't want to change.

6. What have you done this month that you'd like to see next month's HQ use and capitalise on?

I want to see TWO Mobile Corps in action and for coordination to be carried on.
