[TNT] To 100/100 or not to 100/100

Day 1,748, 09:12 Published in USA Canada by Chucky Norris

Cunning politician or simply a madman, history will be the judge of what will be remembered of the short presidency of Civil Anarchy. However, I'd like to talk about his latest move to release our spanish colony which we're providing us with Bonus.

As a disclaimer, I'd like to make it very clear that I was against this idea from the start, so you might find this article biased. At least now you know what to expect. I tried to convince my fellow congressman about the erorrs of this solution ever since we started to talk about it. So now it is the American community that I will try to preach to.

The main reason we we're given for the release of these region was that we we're under PTO threat from ONE and EDEN and that should we lose our bonus, it would make it easier since a great portion of the ''undersirable'' would leave. However, I don't think that this will happen and I list a few reasons why and also an analysis of the direct outcome.

First, The US has a natural 40/60 Bonus, unless we plan on losing these region, we will never go beyond that measure. And even then, it is not said that we will even come close to the 40/60. We currently have 100/100 which will go to a 80/80 with the loss of Navarra and Asturias. One can wonder however why we will not lose as well the region of Aquitaine which belongs to France, (favoritism to the spaniard heh?) but that's for another debate. If you add to this that we would also lose both our Mexican and Indonesian region, we would be down to 60/60.

I'd like now to go around and check the greatest immigration population home country ressource bonus:

Romania (20/60)
Croatia (60/40)
Greece (80/80)
France (0/60)
Serbia (40/100)
Canada (40/60)
Bulgaria(0/0)
Hungary (80/80)
FYROM (80/100)

It is common knowlege that mostly EDEN citizens come here for the Bonus, but where will they go after? China? This country is even more restrictive than almost any country around, so I doubt anyone will get a free pass there. Brazil? Brazil has shutted it's door close to any EDEN citizens quite some time ago. About the ONE citizens that are here, I doubt they we're here for the bonus in the first place, since most of their citizens had already substantial bonus at home, and not a single ONE citizen has been approved legally by IES, unlike the majority of TEDEN citizens. This fact should be significant in regards to their intention.

I doubt that EDEN citizen will go anywhere else, maybe aside from Greece, because the situation here is still better than in their home country. As for the ONE citizens, they came here and we're brought in by AJAY and friends, don't mistake their intention, they will not go away at all.

Many have argued my logic, but I simply think that losing bonus is not enought to lose citizens, or simply that we're not willing to lose that many bonus to make it possible for immigrants to consider leaving the country. Should we really want to lose citizens, I would argue that you would need to go to a level of 40/40 at least. Are we willing to go that low? I don't think so, and half measures won't give you much more than half the results you expected.

Imo, the only feasible solution is the FEC taking charge of finding blockers for everyone in the election because party obviously can't be trusted with this because so many PTOer got in on the ballot last month. And keep the pressure every 15th of the month so that we can keep control of the top5 party. That's what I feel is the only thing we can do to really stop the problem. And it won't go away right now. It will take time, but if we succeed month after month, they will get tired and move on.

And I'd like to talk about the economic consequence of such action. With the loss of production, we can expect shortage of weapons, which should probably take a toll on the weapon and food price. Beware newbs, you're in for a rought one! I expect independant MU to be hitted hard by these changes, like Easy Company and the JCS affiliated MU. I myself belong to the USMC and I believe that we will have more problem in supplying ourself effectively due to the fact we don't take any extra's from the government. So yeah, I'm preaching for my MU!

Will the USAF be affected as well? Probably, they have been supplied like crazy for the past months and I don't think they are equipped to face a loss in production in their commune. What will they do? Either request more funding or cut on supplies. The last option would likely have effects on our national damage output. However if the government simply patch the issue by increasing the funding, where will they take the money? TU2RU? The tank up to rank up program started by Israel Stevens will take a solid hit should they need the money for the USAF. Because you can't simply create magic money around for the new budget. Someone will have to take a hike in regards to these.

This move of releasing our bonus may be seen as a bold move because it was never attempted before. Just like Blowing up your own supply line in the middle of war has never been done before. I don't think anyone would call that genius however.

For better or worst, we're going down a path of losing our economic strenght in an attempt to limit the PTO attempts that we have on our own country. Only time will tell if this was indeed a great move or something that really didn't help us in any shape or form.

May plato have mercy on us!
