[Taoiseach] First Update

Day 2,790, 04:11 Published in Ireland South Korea by An Sluagh

Citizens of the Republic,

Apologies for the delay in publishing this article but I've been a bit busy the past few days with RL, game related material and have had problems with my internet. Regardless of this, my cabinet has been working away and performing their duties to the best of their abilities. We've made progress and given our current circumstances, we are doing a good job.

Let me brief you on the work carried out so far.

[FOREIGN AFFAIRS]

We have signed an MPP with Chile which they have kindly paid our half. We are also planning on signing an MPP with our brothers in arms, Macedonia. Their government kindly donated us 5000cc towards our half, the remainder was paid for by Machiavelli. This still allows for us to sign one more with the 10'000cc we budgeted for MPPs. However we are weighing up our options on who to sign with as we have been approached by a number of nations who are keen to sign with us.

Myself and our Minister of Foreign Affairs, AoifeNiBhriain, held a meeting with the Swiss Government and we have spoken of greater cooperation between our nations in our dual pursuit of liberation. The Swiss people recently succeeded against a Romanian PTO attempt and I have offered them eIrish citizens in the future as an ATO force. It has always been a belief of eIreland that no country should be victim to PTO's or MTO's and we will do whatever little we can do for our fellow small nations and their communities.

[DÁIL]

Despite having no official Dáil elected, we have managed to set up two Dáil threads working off the numbers calculated by Releasethe Krakken and by a list of individuals collected by AoifeNiBhriain off each Party President. The Dáil is up and running under the watchful eye of MooMooHead who has been acting in the role of Ceann Comhairle and counting votes making sure that democratic process is maintained and in flow.

So far there has been no hiccups and the system is working more or less perfectly.

[OFFICIAL STATEMENT RE: UNITED KINGDOM]

For the past year, eIreland and the eUK have grown close and become strong allies. In our time of need the eUK came and assisted us, we worked and coordinated together. When Argentina attacked the UK, we returned the NE out of solidarity as you risked your nation for us and it was only right we do the same.

However you are leaving this mess without us. And this is my worry. You have paid 50k cc and vowed not to fight against Argentina directly or indirectly. This means you can no longer assist us in our liberation and have set a bar for the price of our freedom, a price we are unable to pay due to the financial struggles of our nation. You didn't even have the decency to let us know of your move, you forgot about us, your brothers.

We won't be making a similar agreement with Argentina, we will fight for our liberation or we will take our regions back for free. We aren't paying our way out of this. We are a fighting people.

Since Day 1 of this term I've heard nothing from my cabinet ministers but that we make no agreement without the UK, that we are in this mess together. No we are not. eIreland is in it's own mess and the eUK left us out in the rain to live on the terms you drew up with Argentina.

Next time consider us, we are your brother and we gave up our nation for you.
