Evenin’ gents, hope yer all excited for what should be a very tight race between Gali, and those officially banned from runnin’ against him.

It has been a very productive month ‘ere in Reform, despite a fairly impressive collection of data all indicating it should be the reverse. Through various black magiks, we have nicked the largest proportion of Mongress to force through our political agenda and gifs, an we have increased our membership with some brilliant new fellows happy to Reform the eUK for a supposedly better eFuture, I think. And more importantly, I won all me bets on when I’d randomly disappear as per the usual Appleby routine...

*attempts to look smug*

But none of it woulda been possible without the arsonists, lunatics and general cool kids wot make up the Reform community. Truly, we came into this term as one of the most active parties in the community but can proudly look forward to the next as the principal political force of the eUK. It would be very easy for some in UKRP to read this with a certain amount of snugness; but without the assistance of the other parties with our work, none of what we achieved in redefining our political system coulda been achieved.

So as we try and eye up a few higher spots on the pecking list to try and reflect the nuclear-level of activity we offer the community, we must be mindful to participate as equals to a free and fair community of fellow gamers. Just because you’re the largest or the most active doesn’t give you the right to shove things down others’ throats (unless they elected you with it as your manifesto 😛). We should lead by example, and Reform’s example should be fairness merged with primordial fun. It’s a game!

The Constitutional system will have a honeymoon period with Woldy in the big chair, our duty as a party will be to keep our eye on how the system reacts to different issues and to try and hammer out the problems before it gets serious. We will, for the sake of the larger community, need to restrain ourselves from going beyond the limits of ‘banter’ with those we consider to be in need of the asylum. I know a lot of us could do with the services of one…

tl;dr be proud at what we’ve accomplished over the last 30 days - let’s try and make the next 30 to be even better.
