[Muglack4CP] The Candidate who deserves it

So I posted a few days ago about making a go for CP.
At the time I thought, "Hey it could be fun, and might breath some life back into the game for me", so I started doing what had to be done. I sent out PMs, talked to PP's, did the rounds of kissing hands and shaking babies. You know, the whole nine. Last night I even sent out a PM to a bunch of people in CPF that were on my friends list and hadn't voted in the primary yet and asked them to vote. Not necessarily for me, but for anyone because more votes is never bad.
Then today I kept logging on to respond to PMs, or to see if there were any new election related articles released. I even went so far as to change parties so that I could get the nominations I had lined up stacked in and get myself on the ballot.
Then it hit me, what am I doing?
All said I probably took an hour out of my day with the random logins and check ins, and as I sit here tonight writing this I can't help but wonder what in the hell I was thinking.
Why am I trying, and to be honest worrying, about winning something that would only result in me spending even more time on a game that is so completely pointless and broken that most days I can't even justify logging on for the 2 minutes it takes to work and train.
Long story short I am no longer interested in becoming CP. So I guess this is a "concession speech" and that takes us to the part where I thank people.
First I want to thank TemujinBC. His article about Tyler was probably what set this whole thing rolling for me. After losing the CP election to Fram and before going on his trip we had a long conversation specifically about this game, and generally about life. He knew what happened here was completely pointless, and no matter how dirty and dark the hand he got dealt in this game at the end of the day it was trivial and had no real effect on him. A lesson we should all take to heart.
Secondly, I want to thank the handful of "Old Balls" players that had my back when I had my brief break from sanity and supported my run. There's not many of us left, and it warms my cockles to know that regardless of where we stood in the past we've got each others backs even if it is an act of senility.
Third, a tip of the hat to the other Candidates. Looking at the ballot as it stands right now the choice is pretty clear for me. Xichael is an all around stand up guy, Rolo and I have been partners in crime for a long time, and DMV and myself could of been the most destructive force to ever exist in the history of eRep had we crossed paths a couple years earlier.
You'd think this would make the choice hard. But it actually makes it quite easy.
You see on the 5th of June I'll be voting for Quentin Carlson. Because out of all the candidates he's only one that's proven time and time again that he's a completely ungrateful c*nt and he's the only one I would truly wish the punishment of having to play this game on.

Ive thought about starting something up so many times but then it also hits me that for everything everyone has done in the past eCanada is worse off now then it was before and nothing we do really matters until the game becomes attractive again and stops relying on people playing this shit game to advertise and maybe advertise it themselves, to this day ive never seen one external advertisement anywhere.
Embrace anarchy, lets start some pointless wars and reap what little benifits we can without spending a flippen cent on failure.
It does tend to be a crock of sh*t with no thanks at the end.

I actually would have had the most endorsements on the ballot. The MDP endorsement aside, people don't realize how many small parties there are. No matter how big they are they still show up as supporting you on election day, and that can sway a lot of 2clickers.

You have realised that you stand no chance against other candidates, so it was better to retire from the CP race and avoid getting humiliated. With no endorsement from the 5 largest parties you´d even get crushed by Quentin, a lad you just talked down to. So all this ´´omg what the hell am i doing´´ is huge BS. Also, you didn´t deny that you won´t run ever again - which means that you are planning to ´make that mistake´ again, and that i´m right. Your hypocrisy has no limits, and watching you fail is so fun.
Eventho you aren´t my friend and i doubt you´ll ever be, i´ll give you a friendly advice: you should deflate your over inflated ego, maybe start treating other candidates with respect, change your whole ´´ i´m the smartest guy around´´ attitude and you´ll maybe get an endorsement next time. Peace out.

You'll also notice that I demonstrated and wrote about the respect I have for 3 of the candidates still in the race, and have talked about my love for James R. Bond in the past.
If you think the possibility of losing is why I dropped out then you should go through the elections archives and see the multitude of times I ran, or my own articles where I've gone so far as to campaign to be runner up.
On the point of me not confirming I'd never run again, why would I? I've said before I'd never run again and have. Why would I say "never" again?

You seem to have this image of me that you've crafted in your mind based on snide article comments, or tongue in cheek articles that clearly sail well above your head.
The people that commented and said supportive things are the people that I've played this game and connected with over the years who have seen me for me, and not me for the character I portray 100-1500 characters at a time.
I used to spend countless hours on IRC talking to other players as people and developing friendships, or hanging out on Skype and doing the same thing. Your inability to separate the person from the persona is your shortfall, not mine.
Sorry to hear Mugs, I was looking forward to an interesting campaign.
I remember very clearly how you made some solid second place finishes without getting the medal, in fact my first time as MoFA was when you lost to Rolo. Rolo then stole the treasury, got impeached and you had to take over the thankless job sans medal 🙁
