[MoD] eUK Military Unit Tourno [PRIZES]

Day 3,159, 03:43 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ministry of Defence

As promised, the Ministry of Defence is going to run a tournament for all its Military Units, to encourage a bit of competition amongst our fighters.

When?

The Tournament will begin on Tuesday 19th July at day change, and will last for one week.

How will it work?

MUs will be competing against each other in two seperate rankings. The first is the total amount of Power Index produced by an MU over the course of the tournament, and the second is the average amount of Power Index produced per fighter over the week.

There will also be a series of individual awards, for example the best Power Index overall and in each division.

What is Power Index?

Power Index was originally devised by SerF about 18 months ago, and its a way of measuring how hard people are fighting, that excludes the influence of strength and rank and levels the playing field for all players, giving everyone the chance to do well during the tournament.

The formula itself (for those that are interested) is as follows;

Weekly Damage, divided by: (Strength/400) * (Rank No. /5) * 10. The higher your rank and strength the more your damage gets divided by, hence levelling the playing field.

In addition to bragging rights, large amounts of Q7 weapons will be given out.

The rewards will be based on the total amount of Power Index that is produced- so the more people that fight and the more damage that is done, the higher the prize fund.

For every 300 Power Index produced by a fighter involved in the tournament, 1 Q7 weapon will be added to the prize fund.

Rewards in the total Power Index category will be given out proportionally; so if all MUs that compete produce 1m power index and the number one unit produces 500,000, they will get 50% of the total prize fund.

The prize fund for this ranking will be 50% of the total prize fund earnt by UK fighters.

In the average power index per fighter category the rewards will be given to the top three MUs along the following lines;

1st Place- 15% of the total prize fund
2nd Place- 10% of the total prize fund
3rd Place 5% of the total prize fund

The last 20% of the prize fund will be used for individual awards.

All fighters in participating MUs will be eligible to take part.

If fighters could please fill out this gdoc registration form it would be really helpful- it saves us having to trawl through everyone’s profile to find their strength and rank and will speed up the process of finalising the results.

If you do not fill out this form we will calculate your power index based on your strength/rank when we come to process the results after the event has finished, which will reduce your ranking.

Edit: The Commander of the Dental Corps has informed me that he doesn't wish for his MU to take part in the Competition. If any other MU Commanders feel the same way then get in touch.

The MoD Spreadsheet

The MoD Spreadsheet will be the focal point for all the information you might want regarding our defence- it will be where the most up-to-date orders information is given, and once fully fleshed out by the Foreign Affairs will provide a bank of information on each war taking place in the New World, to enable UK fighters to better direct their damage to meaningful battles.

The National Tank Fund

The National Tank Fund sells Q7 weapons to eUK fighters for a rate typically 20% below the market rate; the funding for this comes from the government and any donations we can muster. If you would like to contribute GBP or weapons to the fund, get in touch with Boaty.

To view the current price of the weapons, view the relevant page on the MoD spreadsheet.

If you would like to place an order, contact Boaty. The maximum number of weapons one fighter can buy a day is 500.
