[MoD] A Fresh Start, Updates and Battle Orders

Day 3,093, 08:30 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ministry of Defence

Hi all, the MoD is this month undergoing reforms to the way in which we structure ourselves and set priorities, aiming for greater activity and a more effective MoD. This article will run through all the changes and include our current Battle orders at the end.

But first off, the team:

Minister of Defence - Boaty McBoatface

Deputy Minister of Defence - PaulTyndale

Subsidised Tank Fund Minister - FightAndProduce

Watch Ministers - JiminyChristmas, KaptenJohnson, Dave Trenga, WookieO, Suezo31

Defence Apprentices - Currently Vacant. If you would like to get involved with the MoD, please get in touch.

In addition, the MoD will be working closely with Rory Winterbourne, current CO of the Armed Forces. He and senior government ministers (The CP, vCP and lead MoFA ministers) will also have the ability to set orders.

Budgeting

The MoD will keep detailed records of every penny of its budget that it spends, which will be made available to the public.

Subsidised Tank Fund

This is being relaunched, publicised and -notwithstanding aaron’s budget passing- refunded this month. It will offer Q7 Tanks for sale to eUK fighters for a price typically 20% below the market rate in the eUK. It will also be open for public donations should anyone wish to help out.

Expect an article in the next few days once funding has been confirmed.

Strikes

The MoD will be running a weekly strike- the day is TBC but my intention is for it to take place on a weeknight, with the Armed Forces looking like they will be holding their weekly strike each Sunday. Spreading our strikes across the week seems a more sensible course of action than having them all on the same night.

Regarding supplies, there will be a package of weapons and food available- the exact levels are subject to funding and will be announced once we know.

In addition to supplies, additional q7 prizes will be given via a power index leaderboard at the end of the strike. These supplies and prizes will only be given out to members of Affiliate MUs and the Armed Forces.

MoD Affiliate Status

I’m not aware of any MUs that have signed up to become Affiliate Units yet, but I would urge all eUK units to apply. By becoming an affiliate unit you will get:

- 50% Work Tax Rebate when the rate is above 3%
- Eligibility to receive prizes and supplies in National Strikes and Strike Days

In return all you have to do is agree to set your daily orders in accordance with MoD orders and do everything you can to ensure that your fighters follow them- something which I am sure some units do already.

Contact Boaty McBoatface if you haven’t signed up yet- and if you have still message me so that I know. Cheers.

Setting us up for the future

This month is out of the ordinary, with the Resource Wars Lottery going there are essentially no real wars going on. I want us to use that month to get in the habit of running the tank fund, ensuring activity by ministers and holding strikes. Then we can take that experience and put it to the test next month.

MoD Spreadsheet

This month we are introducing a comprehensive public spreadsheet which is designed to provide all the information you could need in one place. It is still currently under construction, but please take a look

MoD Spreadsheet

If you have any more questions post in the comments and I shall answer.

The Watch

To expand a little on what this is- we aim to have an MoD minister online for as much of the time as possible; checking orders and being there to be contacted by fighters or allies. The table in the spreadsheet should provide this info. Having a large team should help with this.

War Information

One of the biggest frustrations when fighting is not knowing whether a war is real or a TW (Clue for this month: All TWs). When this sheet is completed, we aim for it to have every war that us or allies are fighting in, with information that our fighters might need to know.

Communication with MoD Affiliate Units

Group messages will be established with the Commanders and Second Commanders of all units that have agreed to follow MoD Orders. They will include all those able to change orders, so that changes can be relayed quickly

SAS PMs

Communication PMs containing our best hitters in each division will again be established, as in previous months.

In addition to this a fifth PM will be set up- dedicated RW starters. Sometimes in wars the eUK will need to start RWs at specific times and creating a pool of people who like to get the medals and/or who are active will be useful for this.

Graphics

After I finish my exams on the 19th I will design a bunch of new graphics for the MoD to use, so look forward to that.

Battle Orders

As you might have noticed on the Spreadsheet, currently the MoD’s order is FREE FIRE. There are no important battles on, so we encourage you to fight for FF, Merc, BH and TP medals. Just please don’t hit for the UK in the MPP Battle with the States in Wales, as we want to lose.

Changes to Orders will first be displayed in the MoD Spreadsheet and then in an Ingame article ASAP.

Boaty McBoatface
