[Ministry of Education] Training Ground Upgrade Sale

Day 2,599, 10:02 Published in Canada Canada by Xander Kross

There is currently a sale running for 45% off Training Ground upgrades. Your government is here to help you take advantage of this sale.

{EDIT} The sale is over, but the program is still in place and open. If you need a loan to help with a TG upgrade, let me know.

Why Upgrade?

Here's a little tip if you don't realize yet why that is something you should be jumping on: if you fully upgrade just your first two training grounds, the Free one and the 0.19 gold one, and use only those two every day, you turn your training regimen into your most efficient gold-production resource.

You earn a Super Soldier medal for every 250 points of Strength. With the first two training grounds fully upgraded, that means you get a Super Soldier medal every 8.333 days (call it 9 days, and every 3rd medal takes only 8 days). You will be spending 1.5833333 gold per medal (8.33333 days x 0.19 gold per day), but will earn 5 gold, meaning you earn 3.4166666 gold every 8 1/3rd days.

Upgrading and using all 4 training grounds ends up costing gold rather than earning it, but if you want to be a big-time tank dumping hundreds of millions of damage per battle, that's how you do it. Used to be, you could make your gold back with True Patriot and Battle Hero medals, but as of January 12, that is no longer the case. Because the devs hate you.

How Will The Government Help Me?

eCanada has a little-known law called the Training Grounds Upgrade Act - currently, this act is terrible and pointless and more of an impedence than a benefit, but your Ministry of Education is working to fix it.

All citizens can apply for an interest-free 10 gold loan whenever these sales happen. Since we do not currently have the infrastructure needed to reform the act, I will be handling loans personally - PM me directly for a loan.

I can't do it alone. I can cover up to 4 loans out of my own pocket, but then I'll be needing help. I will be accepting gold donations (not cash) for the duration of the sale, and any leftover gold will be donated to the Ministry of Finance at the end of the sale. When we get our actual Ministry of Education org back up and running, we'll be handling things a little differently, but this is how we're going to do it for now.

These are loans only - the money must be paid back. We'll work out the details via PM.
