[MDP] State of the Party Address

Fellow members,

Thanks for re-electing me. I know you were told to do so, but in such uncertain it pleases me that we're still solid.

The past month has been busy. We got invaded, we took back regions, we got stabbed in the back by former allies, we laughed in their faces because they're gonna get the short end of the stick very soon, and then we regrouped and have positioned ourselves to begin a liberation campaign when the time comes.

Overall I'd say the last 30 days on the military side have been great.

On the politics side the opposite has been the case. While Foreign Affairs have been going swimmingly and our new allies are mopping up Europe, domestically politics have been stagnate. This is normal in times like this. We tend to unite and focus on invaders rather than fight each other. These are the days that it's good to be eCanadian.

Congress election are coming up, and if we get the chance to field a ballot it will be filled with candidates that meet the standard that we always set when it comes to these elections. While the political scene may be quiet now it could change at any moment and if that happens the MDP will be in a position to shape the conversation and make sure that our interests are taken care of.

If you're interested in running for Congress next month let me know. There's been a large influx of new players in the past 6 weeks into the party, and we're always looking for people to take a leadership roll and step up. Too often this party has suffered due because of a leadership vacuum, and I want to do as much as possible to make sure that doesn't happen a again.

I'm also gonna have a new council this month. The defacto council that has been in place for the past few months needs a change. So if you're active and want to get involved you're more than welcome.

Like I said it's been a quiet 30 days, and there's not much to say so I guess that's about it.

You got 25 votes in a party of over 80 active players. Any comment on the MDP players that yet again came into CW and voted for Rolo? I've got pics if you want them. It was my understanding that a more honourable conduct would be returning to the MDP in your term.

He has no say in his parties actions and holds no power either. A party built on anarchy cannot be controlled.

Muglack is simply the face of the party for this month and nothing more and the actions seen only solidifies that.

I remember how eCanada got Spain off its back after a long wipe by agreeing to an NAP and paying money in a treaty. Perhaps it would be worth trying this in the political module, too, since there appears to be a similar amount of warfare and conquering there.

For example, Clan Wolf members could agree to sign an NAP with MDP that would keep MDPers from voting in Clan Wolf party president elections, in exchange for a monthly or weekly tribute.

'Cuz, I mean if people are getting frustrated that eCanada isn't an imperial power on the grandstage and need to take out those frustrations by acting them out on the smaller political stage of eCanada...then maybe a treaty or two will help smooth out relationships and give a more formal nod to the wannabe conquerors.

Just a suggestion in case CW faces a longish "wipe" and MDP grows tired with "RW" PP elections.

Send me the list of people that jumped over to vote with proof (I won't be part of a witch hunt) and I won't candidate them for Congress.

There's not much else I can do. You know as well as I do that PP's don't really have any power other than Congress and CP candidates, but I'll exercise those gladly.

In the CCP Primary, I received 32 Votes - In the General Election I received 36

In the CCP Primary, Oinyo received 7 Votes, yet in the General Election received 31 - Someone was bringing in extras (Possibly your buddy Beorns Multi's) but it wasn't me

Seeing how people have flocked your Clan Wolf MU, perhaps you don't have as much real support as you think

Beorn is long gone now.. Also the Clan Wolf MU is for me.. Most players are in CAF or Foxfires MU "Nights watch" I just wanted to be able to push Combat orders at will without having to worry about someone else being online.

You know what you are doing Rolo. You are no better and no different than eSpain who occupied eCan for 8 months. You are doing the same thing to us.

Who's "us" - You claim to have all this activity in the Party Feed yet, if you look it's just you and Foxfire, salt in a few others rambling on and on - You think you have 31 supporters?, GREAT, move them all to a new Party, You'd be almost Top 5 within a day - Good Luck
