I really like that image. Anyway, running for CP. I have earlier in the week passed along some info to the PPs of most of the party's with ideas and plans for what I hope to do during the next month. I hope they passed the info on but regardless the info will be spilling out in a couple of articles anyway.
So this is the intro one...sets the pace for the others so probably best to get started.
First off Cabinet. Not the reveal of the cabinet of course. Not enough applicants yet but how the cabinet will be chosen. I will not be choosing people for cabinet based on what party they are from, how many times they have been in congress or any of the normal ways cabinet seems to be decided.
Instead cabinet will be decided by people proving themselves. Showing they are willing to do the work and can do the work by giving them small challenges to see how they complete it.
For MoD I have already contacted the top 4 damage dealing MUs of the eUK. They have been informed that the top 3 damage dealing MUs will be the ones to decide the MoD by majority vote.
The goal of this is to have the Military Units run by military people. The COs have been given more detailed info on the subject but I believe I have got the point across so I will cover this in more detail at a later date.
Most important cabinet position for many people reading this right now is MoF. This one is less about a test in that the most important feature for a good MoF right now is for them to be trusted. Understanding of fishing is also important and will need be shows but the most important thing is trust. I may also give a small gambling test.
Honestly I am sick of being robbed. I am sure you all are too. We get robbed, build up a stockpile to replace the last one then that gets stolen too. While I too plan to fill the dragons cave with gold, I plan to work with the as yet undecided MoF to stop us getting hit as bad if the inevitable happens again.(With the looming constant PTOs it just might)
While initially I had planned to keep work tax at 2% my thoughts go back and forth between it and 1% what I am currently on. 1% is the ideal tax as it allows the most flexible wages allowing for workers to be payed a good wage while also allowing employers to make reasonable profit even with the good wages.
As with the MoD I will cover MoF stuff in more detail at a later date in another article. So lets move on!
With MoFA I offer a simple test. Interview a CP or MoFA from another nation. That's it. No other guidance. The task could be helped by you having experiance in Foreign Affairs but it's all about how well you know Foreign Affairs.
We have had some troubles with Foreign Affairs recently. We have and had people trying to shake up trouble with our allies and while most understand some patch work is still needed.
With FAs I also hope to bring back the ambassador program. It is a very helpful program what helps get people into foreign affairs as well as other stuff. I am sure some of you can think of a few ambassadors from other nations who have shown up on our doorsteps.
So yeah FAs is a bit short but like the others will be flushed out later.
Last up we got MoHA. The task for this is the reason I gave out my initial thing a week ago so people who wanted to apply had more time. The task for choosing MoHA will be to make a game. Ideally the game will be playable for any amount of players two and up. The game will hopefully be played through the month as will others.
I will share no entrants game with another player but I will suggest applicants with good games to the overall winner for uMoHA. While I see it as an important part the MoHA can't be all fun and games, there will be much article writing in their future keeping the public informed and educated but once again I would like to go into more detail on all this at a later date as I fear I am just rambling at this point.
Well while I kept things somewhat vague in part I hope you liked what little you did see. With this and the gdoc with thoughts, ideas and plans I believe it should give you a good idea of my plans but more info on each will come soon in future articles.
Two issues I would like to address are fist who I am. It seems many do not know me but if people really want to know I could do an article all about myself. I know i'd love it but I am told others find the subject boring.
The other is the ongoing PTO attempts. While I do have plans and ideas of how to prevent this it is an ongoing issue and feel it would be best addressed in full at a later date.

Then why would any of the disenfranchised MUs fight for you?
This sounds a wee bit like a BigAnt ballot in TUP.
Why should they be disenfanchised? everyone has a fair shot as it's based on the damage. If you want to be one of the three you do more damage and earn it. Why would you hold your damage ransom because you didn't do as much damage as others? wouldn't it be better to try and work with the rest of your MU to try and compete for the top 3?
if the elites get to pick there own people. Doesnt that just bring back the elites view that so many have been working to try and avoid Would also be nice to know what would happen if the MU's cant pick a winner for instance.
Also not sure where you have heard about us having some problems with our allies, infact alot have showed sympothy and trying to help with advise because of the theft ect, Maybe you should check some of your own facts there.
I never said we were having problem I said we are having troubles. I consider people with eUK cit PMing out allies with lies a tad troublesome don't you? of course our allies understand what is going on so it's just trouble. Not a serious problem.
I don't see how they would be considered elites but basically the CO's of the 3 MUs can put themselves forward or nominate who they think is best suited to be MU. if the three can decide on one serious candidate then great. If not each may propose a candidate and the CP will choose.
by that logic, why should any MU fight for a MoD which is appointed through nepotistic CP's?
You contacted the top 4 so that the top 3 can decide MoD? Huh?
Just contact all MU with more than 12 members and let the commanders decide amongst themselves. Even better, appoint a MoD and sit in a common thread with all the commanders to determine priorities. Even if everyone doesn't hit in the same place, merely knowing what everyone else is doing will build common purpose.
Worst case, you know where everyone is hitting.
Well the point of that was to assign a MoD. If I just pick someone there would be no point. And why all MU with 12 members? My MU has more than 12 and does basically no damage. So it was the top 3 damage dealing MUs. I informed all 4 since they were close in damage. More people just complicates stuff. But once again to be clear this was a way to pick an MoD. Nothing to do with what MoD would do later.

Well the cabinet will be decided before the CP election so the time period would be from a week ago when I PMed info to all PPs giving info on this and asking for applications till a bit before CP election. I did send the info out a week ago so people would have more time but some PP didn't pass it on I guess.

As I said I sent out info a week ago and have been wanting applicants. I can't really decide on one without giving people a fair chance to apply and people are only now intrested with congress over.

i actually really like the sound of this although narrowing the vote to the top 3 only might be too restrictive. in principle though, i think the idea is great
1. Serbia suddenly gets a x50 determination bonus for anyone who fights for them. The SFU MU and BA MU go on a mad one and end up in the top 3.
You now have Clair, athon, Dapper or BA as your MoD.
Sticking to your promise or exercising a veto?
2. As long as the above doesn't occur you're likely to get RN and one of Funky or FBI in the top 3. They claim to be apolitical yet you are asking them to use the power/number to elect a cabinet minister.
So either they haven't agreed and you are forcing them into politics or they have agreed and thus they now have a political bent.
Which is it?
1. Seems another issue presented by the PP not passing the gdoc onto you. However I suppose it is my fault since I left out the word "Trusted" in the above article. "Top 3 trusted damage dealing MUs" so the above situation wouldn't happen but yes CP would hold ability to Veto for situations like joke candidates.
2. You do not need to hold a political allignment to do what is best for the country. These MUs fight for their country not for a party and they can do the job of MoD to continue to do so an help others to do so without any party or personal politics getting in the way. They of course all have the option of opting out.
I'm not gonna decide other people views on politics for them.

MoD ought to be apolitical anyway. Their job is to get orders and supplies out efficiently. Apolitical MU's are actually perfect for choosing as they ought to choose based on military merit rather than politics

That pretty much sums up the article. It's all waffle. Nothing of substance at all.
CP support is up for grabs from some parties atm but candidates really need to have some good plans to get enough support. Especially with the number of candidates apparently running.
I hope one or two back out when party support is decided as although it would be difficult, the Serbs could have some chance if a lot of candidares split the votes.
