Well I am sure the vast majority are aware we go to the polls on the 25th of march to determine the make up of the eUK congress. However the build up to the Congress elections are different and unique for the Independent Alliance compared to every other party in eRepublik.

LIAR...YOU LIE HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

Wooooh there fella, calm down and i shall explain...

The Independent Alliance is unique because we are the only party where our members vote on who we put forward as candidates for the party and in which order of preference they hold. This is a system that is original and really gives the power to the members guaranteeing them a huge say in who represents them in Congress. But wait...there's more...we also have it etched in our constitution that our party President has to contact all top five political parties with regards to any offers to share a platform with them. Some of you newer players may not be aware that only the top 5 parties can run for Congress, so us parties outside the top 5 have to try to arrange platforms with the big parties so we can hopefully gain a Congress seat or two.

Anyway i know our current PP has been very busy and when all the offers are in you...our loyal members, will receive a link to a ballot. This ballot will contain all the offers from parties that are happy to allow us the privilege of running with them, and then you will decide what we do next as a party. People power...get used to it.



Whilst I am not the Party President, I would like to take this opportunity as a member of the Independent Alliance to thank all those parties that have made offers. I hope this process does not convey to you an arrogance or disrespect because nothing could be further from the truth. We value each and every one of you and it has been an honour for us to have even been considered as running partners with you. We wish each and every party candidate in the eUK the best of eBritish luck in the Congress elections.

No, It was not disrespect but It was our aim to create a wholly membership run party we discussed, voted and implemented a constitution that gives far reaching powers to it's members at the expense of the party president. We aimed to create the first party where every member has the same influence and same power as every other...no matter on strength, experience or rank...and we have achieved this. So this is why each offer will be placed in a ballot for our members to decide.



I would like to take this opportunity to thank our current PP because I do appreciate all the time and effort this process takes, so please guys when you receive the PM with the ballot link make sure you exercise your rights and vote...both for your choice of candidate for the party and for which party you want us to run with.
