The long, maybe-I-will-read version.

In real life I wear a lot of black clothing. Its not because I’m goth or an Edward Cullen lover. I’ll get off in my own time to my own things I like, thank you very much! But sometimes people ask me if I think I’m Johnny Cash by dressing all in black. Or if I’m going to a funeral. While I get the correlation they’re making I don’t purposefully wake up and think I want to dress like Mr Cash. But I do think it suits me. I am like most of you. I toe the line because that is what society expects of me. In erepublik I drudge on as Party President because that’s what's expected of me. Its horrible to think of the position that way, but the biggest challenge in my role now is keeping players active, interested and excited about this game!

That gem is from Johnny Cash. The links I provided inside the beginning of that song very much correlate how the erepublik eUSA has operated for years. YEARS. Players have worked their asses off keeping out PTO threats for that long. The Department of Homeland security, if you have been around this long you know what I’m talking about, was essentially run by a guy named Rod Damon. And he was always right. He and hundreds of erepublik players (not just eUSA players mind you) fought for hours each and every election to ensure the eUSA was not PTO’d; this also took place in MANY other erepublik countries that were susceptible to PTOs. Ahhhh, those were the days, weren’t they?



Now its September 2014. I was recently asked about running an AFA candidate for Congress and Plato is still Plato. While we no longer have to painstakingly cover 50 plus states each congressional election we have been deprived of a reason to care about politics in erepublik at all! Maybe Plato should be killed off or something. Don’t get me wrong, he not only taught philosophy, but physics, poetry, music, government, and biology, but he was truly a renaissance man for erepublik (*bites tongue😉. The political module in erepublik has become stagnant or just about died. Its time for something different and I’m not the first one to think about this, nor will I be the last. I think Plato should retire and send in Aristotle because this game now consists only of a bunch of Alexander the Greats who want to fight and take over the world. They need some guidance and sense of direction besides tanking for wimpy BH medals. I mean, that’s all this game is nowadays, right?

Why did I reference that Johnny Cash song? What does a person do after they have learned to ride a bike and are super pro at that now? eUSA has worked very hard and knows how to combat the PTO threat. Basically, our DoHS is near perfect in combating any PTO threat. I guess that means the race is over? While we sit pretty and wait for the next Platonian initiative to come around to appease the gold beasts, our country becomes even more jaded. The eUSA bleeds citizens. Activity levels are abysmal. When I post two articles giving away free foods and weapons I barely get 25 comments?! Near half of the comments are from non-eUSA citizens!!! Its FREE STUFF FFS. Raw weapon material is at an all time low and gold prices have bombed. If I can’t get more than a measly 25 comments on an article giving away stuff this game is doomed! I referenced the Cash song because I'm considering running a known eSerbian for Congress.



But while I’m still here I think we should continue to try working with a community base that puts up with this game and sticks around. I’m talking about a group like the AFA. I have been fairly involved with Congress the past 8 months, but Congress has not been very involved with itself. Its basically become this ugly zit you have to pop every now and then because it comes back and it won’t ever go away. But you deal with it because its part of life and fairly entertaining when you squeeze the puss out of it. Congress is like this in erepublik. When I have to seek out people to run for congress in game I know something is wrong. So what do I have to do to stay entertained?

Maybe I give this Toto guy a chance?

Of course there are stipulations to this: he must join the federalist forum and create an account, fill out the federalist application and adhere to the IES regulations. If this is not completed before reset on the 24th then he will not be a Federalist candidate. Its that simple. So while we are digesting this there are some things to consider:

Many of us know about the iNCi invasion or experiment or however you may see it. It was initially a PTO, but then grew into a branch of the eUSA military. Kemal is our eUSA Sec Treasury but we’re cool, right? Are you still mad about that?

The Black Sheep Party was moved from 6th party to 5th party when Valiant Thor threatened PTO of We the People party with a bunch of eSerbians congress candidates. The DoHS stopped this, but The Black Sheep Party are still there. Are you still mad about that?

Ajay’s player profile was banned for an exploit that was determined to not be an exploit for some reason, and he still exists. Are you still mad about that?

A random military unit ‘celebrated’ its ‘anniversary’ on the same date as the real life anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center that took the lives of thousands of people. They even air striked eNew York and wore cute little avatars commemorating the event. Are you still mad about that?

Are you farmvilling eUSA for fear of the chance of THREE coming around and wiping the eUSA again? Are you still mad about ONE and TWO?



If you answered yes to any of those then chances are this game still has you in a headlock; me included. Also, these events were probably the most active you have ever been this last couple years or so. Guess what? THREE could very well be here considering the alliance shifts that are happening now. Don’t know what I am talking about? Check out that ‘subhuman’ article written by that ePolish player. I think he’s CP or something. No big deal; apparently he likes writing racist stuff. Or ask Aurora or eRomania. The information is out there and the next shift is coming. While we brace ourselves for more war lets try and pick up the activity on the domestic front, huh?
