Hello again America!

Due to the superb work of WildOwl and his team, it has become evident that the eUS will contain all 15 of the eWorld's resource bonuses on its native core regions. The days of holding regions in 3 or 4 different countries and facing daily Resistance Wars just to have our full resource bonuses will soon be over! This will provide us with a greater opportunity to be more efficient with our damage output and allow us greater flexibility to help our allies with their military efforts. This will be great for our nation.

However, there are also some significant disadvantages to having every resource bonus within our natural borders. Having permanent full bonuses will be attractive to 3 different groups of people. Economic company hoarders, enemy political operatives, and foreign nations.



Foreign company holders will love our bonuses and the economic boost they will receive as a result of obtaining our citizenship. While this may not appear to be a significant problem to our native population, it becomes a problem when the company holders evolve into the second category; enemy political operatives.



Enemy political operatives or "PTOers" would love to gain control of our country and make our natural 15/15 resources, their 15/15 resources. By taking over our country, they can effectively steal our full bonuses, and enjoy the wealth without having to put in the work to earn it.



Foreign nations will likely also try to come and take our resources. While the bountiful resources we are gaining will likely enhance our military effectiveness and damage output, we're far from the strongest country in eRep. In fact, our weekly damage output usually puts us at about tenth in the eWorld.





You must be wondering what my plans would be, as your President, to resist these problems;

First of all, I will work with congress to ensure that our citizenship passes are not abused. Citizenship has always been congress's job to maintain and regulate. They legislate the way citizenship is managed, and approve citizenship approvals as necessary. However, I have every intention to work with congress, and their immigration office, IES, to ensure our nation's citizenship is only provided to those who truly need and deserve it.

Secondly, I pledge to work hard to grow our reserves. Money is the great equalizer in eRep's war module. Cash allows us to put out Combat Orders, encouraging damage in battles we wish to win, and it also allows us to purchase MPPs and start RW's as necessary. Without funds in our nation's war chest, we would stand no chance of holding off the weakest of enemies, nor the strongest of foes. We would be, without a doubt, dead in the water. While an elevated tax rate is not preferable, at this point in time, it is necessary. However, there are two sides to the funding coin. In addition to maintaining our current tax revenues, we must also work to decrease our spending. Although it is impossible for me to promise not to spend money on any battles, I am able to say that I will keep spending limited to where it is strictly necessary and not at excessive levels.

Thirdly, my team and I will work tirelessly on diplomatic efforts. In addition to a sizable reserve, having great allies willing to risk it all to help one-another is tantamount to an effective defensive effort. While the 15/15 natural resources will likely paint a rather large target on our backs, I will work with our allies to do our best to protect their backs, as well as they protect ours. Diplomacy will be a vital part of the Evry administration and will be a key pillar to our nation's defense.
