[DoCA] End of Term and Newb Help!

Day 3,000, 10:05 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

The Department of Citizen Affairs
This Land is YOUR Land, Take Pride in America, Lend a Hand!

Hey everyone!

This is our final DoCA media release of the term. I've had a great month working on revitalizing DoCA as your Secretary of Citizen's Affairs - and, thanks to everyone inside of DoCA (Yui, Car, Kodos, Edgar, Jessina, Nothos, EddieA, Mr.Mirage), we made a lot of progress. In just 30 days we managed to inject a new boost of energy into the Department. Be that through the efficiency reviews, tracking StW, fixing QoTD or the launch of iSpy - this month's DoCA team has done great.

However, there is still much to do. Still DoCA doesn't have the media set up we want, still there's a need to bring people into the Department and better promote our programs through things like the proposed DoCA Ambassadors. I personally regret how much time I've had to commit to "backend" work - this is the least media I've ever done in a Government position, which is weird for me. My first govt job was in media for over a year, after all. That being said, I see this month as part of our community's ongoing task to make the Department of Citizen's Affairs the best it can be. I look forward to what the future holds for DoCA.

With that, I wish good luck to our incoming SoCA's EddieA and Illiguy! The Department of Citizen's Affairs, and its workers, are often overlooked. It's not a loud, heroic job by any measure of the imagination. Despite that, it is amazingly important. DoCA is what we as a community have set up to protect our small number of newfriends from inactivity. That is critical.

Now:

We've got our usual plug for programs alongside an update from our American University, Question of the Day and iSpy!

Question of the Day
As our user's will know, QoTD has been fully caught up for sometime now. I will still be QMing the program till Jessina is set up to take over (5 days, tops). I encourage everyone to continue using the program. There is a change to announce:

Supply amounts for QoTD will be changing, effective today.
D1: 50Q5 food per request.
D2: 25Q5 food per request.
D3 and D4: 0Q5 food per request.

This is part of our ongoing goal to provide service to those in our community who need it most. Thank you.

A Month In Review
We have had a slow month at the American University. Some real life issues came up that made some great mentors have to take a break for a while. ( Mr. Mirage I hope your family member gets better, and Nothos I hope work isn’t too brutal on you ) But we tried to push through the low number of mentors and come out with a decent graduation rate. However this just wasn’t a great month, with a large number of mentees dropping due to inactivity or getting perma-banned, we just didn’t get the graduation rate I was wanting. However I still want to thank my excellent team for doing everything they do to help out.

January Graduates
This month we had some difficulties, but one player made it through our program, and I think any MU and Political party would be lucky to receive this talented player.
So without further delay I introduce the Graduate of January.

Everybody let’s give him a huge congratulations down in the comments section!

American Universities Team
This month was very difficult to start with, since we had some issues with RL and such, but we made it so I would like to thank my team this month and everyone that helped.
