I don’t see how anyone could oppose the policy of one castle payment for every article written, particularly with the skyhigh demand for fortification during the invasion...

After another week of facing Argentinian initiative starting battles in the middle of the night for most of the campaign, it’s fairly safe to say after the Swedes have joined the rampage that even the government has to admit things are going pretty shabbily. Indeed, even from the usually temperate economic side we are seeing a higher proportion of our national income falling into our enemies hands - both bonuses wise and in actual taxes (almost up to the tune of £4k/day, and rising).

Diplomatically we aren’t doing that much better with most of Northern Europe extremely destablised. Belgium, who you may remember were initially AirStriked by the Argentinians, have more or less capitulated their support for us in return for their capital. The Netherlands, after having been invaded by Germany, have actually signed an MPP with Argentina and joined the alliance Nebula which is hardly on good terms with us after we kicked out Montenegro and Japan from Belgium. Germany themselves have been wiped after a sudden invasion from the Swedes, whilst we are assisting each other in our liberation it is an extremely uphill battle for both of us. Chile have had to sign a NAP with Argentina which cuts off their support for us too.

Refreshingly however I do have some positive news. Our relations with Ireland have become very close the last few months, particularly after a lot of eUK players helped them during their hostile MTO experiences and vice versa. Knowing full well that they will probably face a colossal backlash from their involvement, they are mobilising in preparation to open a second front in the UK in order to ease the pressure on our own. If you have a few minutes drop their leader Don Croata a thank you for their selfless friendship 🙂.

I understand it has been an annoying week for most, the lack of any seeming victory can be very disheartening for newer players that aren’t used to the usual too and fro of erepublik warfare. No doubt if this game were taken a lot more seriously Fata and I would be currently have our heads on a spike somewhere, paraded before a triumphant Argentinian junta by his newfound loyal eUK masses. If you want to feel a bit of ePride though, despite how easy it seems we’re being beaten now - London was the LAST region ever to be conquered!
