This game is filled with such a huge amount of trolls that it’s difficult to know who put what thought into their posts before they posted them. One such comment peeked my attention today. It was a typical posting about how Clan Wolf has no direction or purpose. This of course came from a player of a party whose only direction is to grab power from another party, so I wouldn't expect them to know what direction or purpose looks like.
Politics in this country has become a game of King of the Hill. Few parties actually have real mandates of substance. “More MU funding, less taxes” and “Party X sucks, vote party Y.” You see it each time a party runs for office. Nothing changes. Few players want to or are capable of actually doing the leg work to bring their plans to fruition, so they sit on their won hill until the next election. It’s a joke. And it’s a joke only so far compounded by how much effort these devoid players spend tearing each other apart.
In this sea of madness, Clan Wolf’s direction and purpose has remained consistent. That direction and purpose has always included putting forth players into Congress that would not else wise have an opportunity to do so in other parties due to centralized party power. Players who got their start in politics with us, encouraged and retained in Canada through us and now continue their political paths in parties just like yours. The five new players we put forth in Congress this term are no different than the players we put forth in the beginning and every month since then.
Unlike the majority of other parties who profess to have a platform yet can only speak to the negatives of other parties, Clan Wolf has repeatedly worked with every other party in Canada to the mutual benefit and security of Canada. Be it supporting another party's CP, saving another party from a PTO or providing council to those currently in government. Clan Wolf continues to serve the players first before itself.
We continue to provide a safe haven for players of all activity levels. If they wish to two-click communications are messaged directly to them to save them time. If they wish to participate in leadership, the party has a true diplomatic process to achieve that position. Not a small group of self-interested players seeking government for no purpose other than to knock down another party. Clan Wolf is a party by the players, for the players.
So once more in case you missed it:

We put Canada first, before the party
We are completely democratic, making our leadership accountable to every party member.
We give ever player, regardless of activity level a place to play how they want to play the game.
That is our purpose and that is our direction.

To be honest, there is very little in the way of issues and mechanics for the parties to differentiate themselves on.
I'd agree in-game governance does come off as a group of grown men fighting over whether the thermostat should be set at 21.0 or 21.1, but that does not dismiss the greater effort that could be placed on truly helping new players verses simply tearing apart other parties.
Mechanics does not stop parties from working together, nor new initiatives undertaken.

I agree with Wilhelm, the complexity of this game has only withered and withered as time goes on and the list of issues that are even relevant keep declining. It's a shame what's happened to this game
Well Foxfire you would have to be complete idiot not to know that the ideal ambient temperature to play eRep is 21.5. C. Your parties 21.0 and 21.1 are far to low and will cause a complete market crash.
The only thing relevant Congress had to do in the last few months was to somehow make MU funding balanced~through a stable tax policy and a revamped MU funding act.The rest of it is part of eCanada's political drama that keeps certain players entertained, but it is quite secondary when it comes to supplies for our active fighters and extra support for our new players
The people in each of the parties should stay focused on want needs to get done, rather than what others are/aren't doing

The game itself is a bit boring, because building something stable is not dramatic, and eCan has a hard time finding major battles that it can fare well in. So tinkering with taxes and modifying small clauses for MU funding may seem like petty potatoes, yet that's the real work that Congress can do now. If Clan Wolf wants to focus on the other somewhat numbing task of retaining new players rather than tax+fundin debates, then go for it.Whatever adds to the team can be good in its own way
Encouraging and welcome new players > Increases Canada's population growth > Increases Canada's tax base and military force.
Same goals. Different approach. And as a bonus it's rewarding to help people.
Canadian's population continues to fall every month. That more than any political issue bothers me most and yet it is solely ignored.
We lose population when we can't supply them with active fights, and we could retain more if we had better production bonuses. Granted, making this a more hospitable and welcoming game environment would help a lot. If eCan had an engaging military goal in the game, then people might get more into the aim of getting something bigger done as a team. Otherwise, it's a bit more of an individual challenge to develop your citizen stats. New players need more to keep them staying on.
