[BC4CP: Policies] Victoria’s real secret? She’s voting Baron Chris

Day 2,599, 08:29 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by BaronChris
Dear friends,

Happy New Year. I write this following my announcement to stand as CP for the eUK and want to outline a few ideas that set me aside from the rest of the candidates. For citizens of the eUK, it will mean a greater time economically, socially and politically; with a number a ways to get involved and grow your political CV.

It’s a bold and ambitious plan, but if implemented, we will be the toast of the new world. Of course, it can only be achieved by a copious supply of experienced citizens, and I have a number already, I am still looking for people to be in my government. Send me a message if you’d be interested. This is your chance to serve your country. Firstly, I want to explain some of the people who will greatly benefit from my term as CP.

Who will benefit?
-Young and enthusiastic citizens looking for a political start.
-Proactive UK military units.
-Those who liked to be entertained.
-The UK media machine.
-The haters, naturally.

Finance
MoF will be key in watching the coffers and making sure that we are spending within our means as well as building up the countries reserves after a long period of war and large spending. Finance will also look at new ways to raise capital for the country and its various new schemes. The department will continue to run the training ground loan scheme.
NEW: Ministry of Business and Innovation
The MoBI is responsible for economic growth in the eUK. It will publish regular articles encouraging citizens to build their industry with tips on how to make the most of their money running their businesses; from employing staff and selling their things to market. It will also streamline a scheme to give grants and loans to budding entrepreneurs who want to improve their industry capabilities.
Defence
The MoD this term will serve to protect the eUK and it’s regions, and make sure that MU’s are alerted regularly of eUK priorities. MU’s that comply will be given significant publicity and praise from the department in gratitude for assisting the eUK. An MoD consultancy service will also be set up to help MU’s (who want it), in attracting members and keeping them active. A weekly most valuable soldier article will also go out to say thank you to those patriots in their divisions.
NEW: Ministry of Projectiles
I cannot take full credit for this ministry; it was an idea thought up a while ago that I really wanted to see happen, so I’ve included it in my manifesto. This new ministry is a project similar to the NHS scheme that gives food daily to younger players, and provide weapons to players to assist them in fighting in the eUK. Once set up, the National Armament Scheme will be seperated from government and run devoid of government or political control for the good of the citizens of the eUK.
Foreign Affairs
A list of options will be compiled by MoFA, and will be given to congress to vote on our options, including the option to abstain from taking any action.
The reorganisation of the ambassadorial programme, which will give dozens of younger and less experienced players a chance to start their political careers. It will be organized using regional directors, managing areas of the New World who will help the ambassadors carry out their roles in their countries.
NEW: Ministry of Governmental Affairs
This department deals with the transparency deficit in government currently. Reports will be given the MoGA and fortnightly, an article will be released to the public with information on what each department has been doing and spending and where. The department will also deal with congress disputes and votes on non-game law. It could be seen as a replacement for the Ministry of Legal Affairs which was not fully enacted (long story) a few terms ago.
Home Affairs
There will be the return of the daily news update (which I started a few months ago whilst MoHA), selecting and publicising the best of UK media. Home Affairs will also provide guidelines (NOT RULES) on what to look for when approving and denying citizenship. Differing from past attempts to solve the immigration problem, this is a move to advise and guide newer congressmen and women, and not to demand or punish wrongdoers.
NEW: Ministry of Tourism
Reportable to the Ministry of Home affairs, this is a trial run if elected. The department which will encourage experienced players to come to the UK to fight and contribute to the UK economy. It will be in charge of creating literature for prospective citizens
Entertainment
The department will bemuse, amuse and confuse over the next month. As a department close to my heart, there will be more funding for MoEnt, so that more competitions and prizes can brighten the day of eUK citizens. Also, an awards ceremony will be organized to celebrate 2014 and the people who have shone in the last year in the eUK (and those who haven’t) held live on IRC.
Education
A stupendous number of articles giving advice to younger citizens in different areas of the game, written by MoEd and commissioning articles from experienced citizens of the eUK. The Minister will be responsible for asking citizens to write articles for the department.
Congress
Congress will play a huge role in the next term. On top of a very important advisory role, congress will be invited to vote on matters such as our alliance options, among the regular in game votes. I see congress as a very important machine and will run the country, while myself and my cabinet try and keep everyone happy and prosperous.

Well. That’s it. Hope it gets your vote.

Kind Regards,

Baron Chris
UK CP Candidate
