Hello all,

My name is Ash Brandon and I have been around eRepublik for about three years now. I have seen many things - both unpleasant and pleasant - and I'd like to consider myself a bit of an experienced fellow.

Today, I am writing this article to announce my candidacy for the Presidency of The Unity Party. It has been a while since I have put my name into a ring of candidates with an intent to actually run.

Let me tell you about myself first, so you can get to know me a little better.

I have been a member of Congress four times, representing TUP with each step. I have worked in several cabinets, one being Woldy's, and have experience dealing with both domestic and foreign affairs concerning the eUK. I have been Party President of The Unity Party before - about two years ago. I learned a lot of lessons from my term and unfortunately succumbed to public opinion and sought political exile because I no longer felt welcome by the experienced eUK politicians.

However, two years later, I am back and ready to assume responsibility again. I have thought about different ways to bring back the flair that TUP (and the eUK?) had when I entered my term. I believe that there is still hope - but we must fully ignite the small flame that is still burning under the pot.

Changing the basis of things in both eUK and TUP will be difficult, but I do believe there are still good politicians out there that are hoping for a baby boom period. Most importantly, I want to be the person that ignites that baby boom.

In upcoming articles before the election next Friday, I will assess the current situation of TUP and explain my plans on what we should do in order to feed the party that some hold near and dear to their eHeart. Also, I am always looking for cabinet members for the party that will help me revive the sleeping giant known as TUP.
