Here at the Campaign Office we like to soak up the experience as much as possible while we work
Welcome back everybody!
To get right down to business, this article will be presenting my platform, I'll do my best to put it into words while not rambling, but it's not my forte, writing long winded articles. I'm more of an action speaks louder than words guy, so I prove myself when I do the job, not when I talk about how good I was at all the babysitting gigs prior to applying here.
As that stands, the major focus of the term will be on Foreign Affairs and Defense. That much should be obvious. Our outgoing president, DMV, refused to accept my compliments on his work as CP, taking it as me 'bandwagoning' his success rather than saying "This guy was a good CP, so I'll be trying my best to live up to the standard he set". Whatever floats his boat, I guess.
Now, We'll continue to work with our allies in LETO and Asteria and strengthen our position in the eWorld by being a reliable ally every step of the way. A selfless warrior is the bravest of soldiers, that is what we can be. This won't mean we'll put everything before ourselves, of course. Helping our allies when their need is greater than ours is a must, but if we have something going on that is important for us, we will prioritize that and request support from our allies, like we would give to them.
On the Defense side of things, we will see out this war with the UK to its end. That's rather simple. If the war ends during my term, we would seek out other options either of war(If possible and reasonable) or training, as well as putting priority on helping allies while we have no direct battles or important RW's to fight.
I'm also looking to forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones, the more friends eCanada has the better. Internally, there isn't a whole lot to be done, other than trying to smooth out this entire Coalition vs MDP nonsense. Though that ultimately is something that will come down to the Parties involved. Trying to encourage more media activity is definitely something I will be looking into different tactics for attempting, we've hit a very low point in our Media lately and it's not an issue we can ignore forever.

Sooner or later the UK war will play out. Repercussions/retaliation is the next thing we will deal with. Exit strategy will need to be discussed with Argentina (assuming they wish to exit). I just don't see a long term occupation being in our best interest, especially since the same ol' RW's & NE's are boring. Also it is time we spread the love around to our LETO allies. But that will develop and blossom eventually with a little tender loving care and guidance.

Looks good. I hope we can foster long-lasting relationships with our allies, even if we do end up on opposing sides of the field again one day 🙂
Tax policy?
Tax Policy has remained virtually unchanged for a long time. What it needs to be set as depends on the situation in the country, which can change during the month, so setting a Policy now would be useless when a new one will probably be needed in two weeks.

Tax policies are in the realm of Congress, but the CP does hold sway in pushing for reform here. However, in order to know what our taxes are doing, you have to have a solid data set to analyze. Are you saying once you get into office you will take note, then in the 2 - 3 weeks, if taxes are not working, try to spend a week arguing about taxes, just in time to get out of office and not have to worry about them?
I'm saying that tax policies aren't something I'm going to put a number or stance on. The level they stand at now is something I supported as a citizen so unless the situation changes and calls for a change in tax levels, I'm not going to try and change them unnecessarily.
